"I clicked on his site and within five minutes he called me. He told me that he would come that day to give me a quote. I was very surprised especially because it was Sunday. He insisted and came to give the estimate. He returned that following Tuesday to complete the job. My husband and I were so impressed. We thought he did a beautiful job. He made sure to use Rain-X so the windows would not streak. It has been months and there are still no streaks. It has lasted about six months so far. My neighbor even commented on how sparkling clean our windows looked. I have recommended him to my entire community. They were looking for a reputable window cleaner and I believe he has received about four different jobs from my referral. The neighborhood also put him on our preferred list. I can not say enough great things about his service. He even put back a screen in our upstairs window and did not charge us for the additional work. He stuck to the price he quoted but we paid him above because we were so pleased. He is a very nice young man. I plan to use him to pressure wash my home. He is responsible and clean."

"My bathrooms sparkled when they were done, even though they are quite old. I was happy with the cleaning they did on the empty house, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they would do with a house full of furniture after the remodel is complete. Easy to schedule, but I'm pretty flexible on time. They do real cleaning using a bucket with water and a mop, not wiping and swiffering (which I do myself in between cleanings). They schedule 4 people for 1 hour of cleaning, so it's not a linear 4 hours of cleaning time; its 4 man/woman hours of labor towards your cleaning job. I love this because I put no value on how long people stay at my house and would prefer a short intense session and then get out of my way as soon as possible."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Luckily, glass block windows need minimal maintenance. Other than regular cleaning, the only maintenance involved in having a glass block window is inspecting for cracks every year and applying sealer to the mortar joints if the blocks are set in masonry mortar. Glass block windows hold up well against wind and moisture better than traditional windows and are not prone to rot.

Professionals clean window screens the same way a homeowner can—by removing the screens and cleaning them with a sponge. A window cleaning pro may come with better equipment, like a high powered wet/dry vacuum or pressure washer to speed up the process and achieve a deeper clean.

You should avoid using abrasive materials and harsh chemicals when cleaning windows. Abrasive tools like scrubbing pads, rough cloths, or steel wool can permanently scratch and damage the glass. Harsh chemical cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia can damage window treatments, frame materials, and special features like tinting. It is also best to use distilled or filtered water instead of hard water, which can leave spots or streaks. For best results, use a clean microfiber cloth to wash the glass and old black and white newspapers to dry it without leaving streaks.

The best homemade cleaning solution for windows is one gallon of warm, distilled or bottled water mixed with five to ten drops of liquid dish soap. This is what professional window cleaners typically use when they make their cleaning solutions. Using bottled or distilled water will help avoid hard water stains after cleaning, and the soap will cut through grease, smudges, and debris on your glass.

Clean the outside of your home at least once a year. If you live in an area with salty sea air, high levels of pollen, or an abundance of leaves in the fall, it's helpful to wash it at least two times a year. Frequent cleanings will allow you to remove debris and pests before they flourish into infestations, or cause mold and mildew.
