"The crew arrived on the planned date and worked diligently.  They were knowledgeable about the issues of an old house and knew exactly what they were doing.  They had to carry out the debris (concrete and dirt), and bring in the material and equipment by hand.  They were careful to partition off the part of the basement where they worked and keep dust and dirt from going out of the work area. The crew did a great job in making sure the work sites were cleaned up and everything was done right.  A truck had to come back 2 days later to finish up the river rock in the outside trench, as they had run out of material.  The yard, considering how difficult it was to dig the trench away from the house, was in very good shape.  There were tree roots ans shale that made things difficult and required  a jackhammer at times.
 It was a difficult and messy job that they did wonderfully, inside and outside. I have been very pleased with the work and there has been no problems with water or excessive dampness in the basement."

"I hired Sunnyside to redo a rear patio and repair a front stoop at my Mothers house. Had front stoop rebuilt, walkways redone in Bluestone and a large concrete patio removed and replaced. I liked them so much I had them redo the stucco at her foundation wall and repoint her brick chimney as well. They showed up everyday ontime and Aidan offered a lot of different choices as to the finish of the concrete patio. "Larry came out and did an analysis of our exterior drainage system, as we were having some puddling issues in the front and rear of our yard. We had just moved into the home a few months prior and Larry also did an analysis of our basement as we were having some concerns about the slightly bowed wall in our basement. Larry was very thorough and took a lot of time to go through the details of the exterior french drainage system he would install. He responded back to us in a timely manner and was extremely reasonable with their quote compared to other bids we had received from other contractors.
Larry and his team came out to the house and made quick work of a tedious job.  They took good care to keep the job-site as tidy as possible. Although Larry changed from the original plan, we felt comfortable with this as he was very thorough when explaining the reasons behind the change and we felt he had our best interest at heart. If we had any questions Larry was always available to answer them for us even when we called at 9pm.
We had a walkway that they had to cut through in order to run the piping for the drainage and Larry even added concrete to fix the walkway even though it wasn't in our original proposal.
We feel like with the work that was completed we got an excellent price and we have the peace of mind knowing that the job was done properly.

"I hired Manuel Villa originally to build a retaining wall for my basement and then asked them to finish a concrete floor for my basement too. their work was priced reasonably and well done. a team of three were working on this project and they finished everything in just two long days! the size of the wall was 15 by 5 feet in L shape that involved a lot of digging, braking and disposing of a 400 pounds rock... the concrete floor job consisted of digging a 20 by 20 feet. it was a lot of heavy duty labor. beside the fact that they told me that they will start at a certain day but they didn't show up nor called. when i called they said they has an issue with their truck. and then they said they will come the next day between 8 and 9 by they showed up at 10. because they knew they had to finish by sunday and they would need 3 or 4 days. they made sure to be done sunday and they even worked until 7pm. once they are working they are extremely professional. i highly recommend them. they do have workers comp insurance and they did give me a copy of their insurance issued for my property by their insurance broker."
