"Gary was prompt, courteous, & professional.  He went through the process with my husband and then went right to work.  He cleaned the blinds in our new home that needed it most and did an amazing job.  It was like the blinds were brand new!  We found his pricing reasonable for the quality of work done.  He mentioned that he also does upholstery and carpet cleaning.  We will definitely use him for all of those services in the future.

Blind Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on blind type, cleaning method, labor, and additional stain treatments.

Window treatments fall under the categories of hard, soft, and layered. Hard refers to stiff, formed treatments that include window blinds and shutters. Soft refers to cloth window treatments that include drapes and curtains. Finally, layered refers to the combination of soft and hard treatments. For example, you might place flowing drapes over blinds to combine the practicality of a treatment that blocks the sun with the whimsical and elongating aesthetic of a full-window drape.

Clean high-traffic areas such as kitchen surfaces, bathroom surfaces, and bedding once per week. Deep clean other areas every three months to a year. How you use a space can help you figure out how often it should be cleaned, with areas where eating, bathing, and food prep occur getting the most frequent attention.

The most popular treatment for a skylight is skylight shades. There are five primary types: manual, motorized, blackout, cellular//honeycomb, and Venetian. Motorized skylight shades are the most convenient, especially for skylights that are higher up, but manual shades are the most cost-effective treatments. Cellular/honeycomb shades are a perfect option for anyone who wants energy efficiency and an attractive look.

Aim to dust your blinds once a week and deep clean them monthly. This routine will help you tackle all the dirt, dust, and grime before it becomes a stuck-on mess. If you’ve been meaning to stay more on top of your cleaning, a daily, weekly, and monthly house cleaning checklist can help.
