"With our current situation in Rochester with the virus, I did not expect to have the job of clearing basement drain addressed in the same day I called. I assumed I would begetting on a list for sometime in the future. Instead John said he could do it in 3 hours. Efficient, cleaned up after and paid in 1 hours time."

"Frank and his assistant were very helpful in helping me resolve my issue clearing a clogged leech field pipe. He helped educate me on what I need to do to maintain the roots on my septic lines and what I needed to do in the future if there was a bigger issue in when it came time to replace the lines. I always aim to hire the smaller guys when it comes to fixing a problem that I am unable to fix myself and Frank was very helpful on educating me on what to do in the future and was very much satisfied with his knowledge that he passed on to me and would deffantly hire him again!!"

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If your dishwasher isn’t draining, some common causes include a clogged drain filter, drain hose, or air gap. Also, if you have a garbage disposal, a clog in the disposal can back up your dishwasher since they share plumbing, as can a clog in your kitchen sink’s plumbing. A handy DIYer may be able to figure out how to unclog a dishwasher, but you may need to call in a plumber if you can’t locate and clear the clog yourself.

Yes, many services include camera inspections to identify the cause of the blockage. Confirm with your provider.

As a preventative measure, hydro jetting should be done every one to two years. However, the best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. The ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the age and condition of your pipes, how prone they are to clogging, how often the sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. If you frequently experience clogs or are unsure, it's best to ask a licensed plumber for a recommendation specific to your plumbing system.

You’ll likely pay between $300 and $450 to unclog your toilet with Roto-Rooter. However, the price could change depending on if the clog has caused a lot of damage, which your plumbing pro will want to inspect during your service appointment. Keep in mind that you won’t get a quote from Roto-Rooter over the phone. They have to send a pro out for an in-person cost estimate. You can also attempt to snake your own clog for a lot less, and simple drain snakes cost no more than $50.

Clogs in a sprinkler valve can be caused by various factors, including debris in the water supply, sediment buildup inside the valve, or damage to the diaphragm. Debris and sediment can accumulate over time, obstructing the valve's passages and impeding water flow. Damaged diaphragms may develop tears or holes, leading to blockages and affecting the valve's ability to open or close properly. Regular maintenance and cleaning can help prevent and address these issues, ensuring your sprinkler valve operates smoothly.
