"I had asked fr a free estimate to have my bathroom tub redone. I was under the impression te old one would be removed & replaces with a brand new one. This company leaves your existing tub and adds plastic side wall panels to it. NOT WHAT I WANTED DONE."

"Dave replaced our water heater which was connected to our oil fired boiler, with a new electric hot water tank. We had no problems. Very professional installation."

"Getting a walk in tub is expensive no matter who you use. My experience thus far is with installation only and I must say my install went great. It has been over a month and no issues with my tub so I cannot comment on repair process with American Standard."

"Simons HVAC replaced our 20 yr. old mini split with a Lenox mini heat pump. The installers, Felix, Ryan, and Antonio were here right on time, were very professional, worked with me on how I wanted it done, did a great job, cleaned up all the workplace, tested the equipment, and got the job done in one day. Simons's office personnel, Danyan, Marissa, Crystal, and Tammy were perfect in scheduling, following up, doing warranty registration, and applying for National Grids rebate. The unit is performing great, it is so quiet you don't even know it's on. It can even provide heat down to below zero and save alot on operating costs. Lenox makes superior equipment! I recommend Simon's for all your heating and cooling needs."

"He was pleasant and educated us, the homeowners, about our choice of tile and the problems that he was having with it. We had purchased discounted tile and boarder which was hard to work with.
We had him and his crew do other work in the bathroom - tub, piping, replacing mixing valves - which he quoted before hand at a reasonable price. We talked about the work that needed to be done. He was worried about what might be hiding behind the walls and we talked about how we were going to work with each other since my wife has a home business. We were all able to come to a compromise on time and place.
There were unforseen delays which were quickly taken care of. He was professional about these delays and was able to work through them. He did what we asked. Once the job was finished, there was a leak in the piping. The issue was the mixing valve. He went out and got a replacement and all was fixed within an hour or so.
With my wife having a home business, we were worried about contractor cleanliness. We were VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED how clean the job site was AFTER they were done, but also how clean they worked.
So all in all, prompt, responsive, professional, and clean. And he can communicate well with both men and women.
All in all, a very good experience.

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

You can put a structure under your bathtub for support. Many modern tubs come with a built-in support structure underneath. Almost any type of mortar or floor-leveling compound is acceptable for new bathtubs that don’t include a support structure.

You can also install spray foam under an existing bathtub to eliminate or reduce squeaking or sagging. However, spray foam isn’t rigid enough for primary tub support.

Yes. Common materials for Roman tubs are acrylic, fiberglass, cast iron, and stone resin. The choice you make can depend on various factors, including weight, cost, durability, style, heat retention, and aesthetics. Ultimately, it really depends on your space to determine the best option.

The cost to replace a bathtub is $2,000 to $9,400. Whether you want to spruce up your bathroom or your existing bathtub is not functioning correctly, purchasing a new tub costs about $5,700 with installation. Prices depend on the type and size of the tub.

Persistent leaks, outdated styles, or surface damage are indicators for a replacement.

In some cases, people are getting rid of bathtubs because of the floor space they gain after removal. Showers can make more efficient use of bathroom space. In some cases, people get rid of tubs for accessibility purposes. It can be difficult for some individuals to step into and out of a tub. For these people, a shower with no lip or step is safer and easier to use than a tub.
