"My bathrooms sparkled when they were done, even though they are quite old. I was happy with the cleaning they did on the empty house, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they would do with a house full of furniture after the remodel is complete. Easy to schedule, but I'm pretty flexible on time. They do real cleaning using a bucket with water and a mop, not wiping and swiffering (which I do myself in between cleanings). They schedule 4 people for 1 hour of cleaning, so it's not a linear 4 hours of cleaning time; its 4 man/woman hours of labor towards your cleaning job. I love this because I put no value on how long people stay at my house and would prefer a short intense session and then get out of my way as soon as possible."

"I used them through a big deal on Angie's List. I liked how easily they were able to fit me into their schedule. When I called them to make the appointment, they were really receptive and got me on to the schedule in a really timely fashion. One thing that was a little frustrating was that they told me they were going to do wall prep and yet they didn’t. They did some, but they didn’t do it as well as I would have liked. They said that they would take care of nails and nail holes. There were a couple of nails that they just left in and painted right over. It was my understanding that the nail would come out and that they would patch the hole and paint, but that is not what they did. It was my understanding that they would take it all out. I don’t know where the communication failed, but it was pretty startling to come in and still have these nails in the wall. If only I had known, it would have taken three seconds to take them out. With regard to punctuality, they were late and my husband had to leave before they arrived. They actually came to our house and we weren't even here, which is a little uncomfortable and a little dicey as we hadn’t met them. The room was totally clean when they left. The work that they did was good; it was just that communication issue and their punctuality. I probably would use them again in the future."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Solar screens are low-maintenance but benefit from occasional cleaning with mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or pressure washing, as these can damage the mesh. Inspect screens annually for tears or loose frames to maintain performance. In dusty or coastal areas, more frequent cleaning may be necessary to prevent buildup.

While clean windows don't automatically increase home value, they make your home look more attractive from the outside, and since the exterior is the first thing a potential buyer will see, it can help make a good first impression that paints the rest of your home in a positive light. Educated homebuyers will see that your home is well cared for if they see clean window tracks and sparkling window glass, which can contribute to an overall positive opinion of your property. Clean windows give the impression that the rest of the home—including systems and appliances—is probably well-kept, too.

In most cases, you should get your windows cleaned one to two times annually, although you might want to complete this task more often if you live in an area with heavy pollen or heavy rain or snowfall that soils your windows. It’s also a good idea to hire a professional window cleaning service if you’re listing your property, as sparkling windows will make a big difference in terms of curb appeal and, potentially, your home’s value.

You can use hot, soapy water, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, window cleaner, nail polish remover, WD-40, and cooking oil to remove glass labels. You can also apply heat with a hair dryer or steam cleaner. Use a plastic scraper or credit card to remove the adhesive, as a razor blade can permanently scratch your glass.

The most likely cause of smearing or streaking after cleaning your windows is residue left on the glass from the cleaner you’re using. Consider diluting the solution and cleaning them again, or use old newspaper to dry the windows after cleaning, as this will soak up any residual material. Additionally, aim to clean your windows on a cool, cloudy day, as cleaners will dry more quickly on the glass if it’s hot and sunny, promoting streaking.
