"The job went very poorly and I found him unprofessional. If the matter is not resolved I will have no choice but to pursue legally in small claims court. Mr. Aponte was given $2,000 for materials to begin a job that was to start on June 27th and end by July 3rd with time to spare before a family event on the 31st of July. He arrived on the 28th of June and returned the following Monday and Tuesday. In that time I asked for multiple updates as well as receipts for materials. The work produced was not what we discussed. The quality of the work produced was also poor and it needed to be taken down. I tried to resolve the matter in order to meet my July 31st deadline. After a few days he was unresponsive to texts or emails. The materials he left also destroyed a section of my lawn. I had to hire a new contractor to finish the platform and pay an additional $1200 and need to fix my lawn as well. He contacted us on the 31st that he had been away and could not be reached nor did he need to inform me. We disagreed about the cost of labor done thus far-sanding and painting a deck and he has yet to produce receipts for materials myself and three other contractors estimate at $600 at most. There is no way Mr. Aponte's company completed $1400 worth of labor painting a 10x12ft deck. I am very unsatisfied with the lack of professionalism and will have to take legal action."
