"The Rep sent to view our gutters was knowledgeable and easy to deal with. The workers were sent the next morning and did a great job, actually cleaning the gutters, better than other companies we've had in the past. They also gave us an update on the condition they saw our roof in, something we asked for."

"Responsive from the first time I called, an even after payment was made. A nice touch is the pictures they send to you during the job. They get on the roof to do the estimate. Many options for warranty's. They come with a large work force to complete the job. The job was done with snow on the ground but none on the roof, so they came back to clean up the ground with the snow was gone. I didn't see a lick of trash after they were done, so I imagine there was not much to clean up after the snow melt. They cover the siding with 4x8 sheets so there is no denting or leaving of marks on your siding. They are definitely on my list of contractors to keep around on speed dial."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

There are several ways to remove snow from your roof: using a snow rake, salting the roof with calcium chloride, using a rope (cautiously), and using heating cables. It’s important to mention that pretty, fluffy, sparkling snow weighs a great deal, and when physically removing snow from a roof, you should be aware of large snow slabs breaking off. These can weigh hundreds of pounds and are a real danger, so be extremely careful anytime you’re doing this type of work.

When starting the engine, you typically leave the choke on a snowblower in the "choke" or "closed" position. After starting, let the engine run for a few minutes to warm up. Then, gradually open the choke, moving it to the "open" or "run" position, allowing more air into the engine and transitioning to a normal fuel-air mixture. The exact duration varies based on the snowblower model and ambient temperature, but as a general rule, you should open the choke once the engine has stabilized and runs smoothly, typically within a few minutes.

Schedule regular snow removal, apply salt or sand to icy areas, and mark hazards like curbs or drains.

Costs depend on property size, snowfall frequency, and additional services like de-icing or hauling snow offsite.

Time varies based on the property size and snow depth, but most jobs take 1-3 hours.
