"Did our roof about 2 years ago and was super pleased with the professionalism of everyone from the office staff to the work crews and the efficiency and quality of work. Hired again to replace windows, and once again impressed with the work but also the people. If I need another job done that they specialize in, will hire again."

"My husband and I, along with my had a clog we could not fix. We tried everything my father in law could not unclog it, my uncle works for a housing company and even he could not fix our problem; but when I hired A. Warner, they were here within the hour, fixed our problem for a more than reasonable amount and we now have our kitchen sink back to working order. So If you have any plumbing issues especially like the crazy clogged sink we had, I definitely recommend A. Warner. They are really good guys who knows their stuff and their custoner service is amazing. I'm glad we hired these guys."

Skylights questions, answered by experts

Yes, skylights can affect a home’s energy efficiency, either positively or negatively. Properly installed, energy-efficient skylights with Low-E coatings, double glazing, and UV-blocking glass can help regulate indoor temperatures and reduce heating and cooling costs. However, poorly insulated or older skylights can contribute to heat loss in winter and excess heat gain in summer, lowering overall energy efficiency.

Skylights are the most likely windows to leak if installed improperly, so there are a few questions you should ask any skylight installer before you hire them:

  • Do you specialize in skylight installation or only windows in general?

  • Do you offer any kind of warranty for the installation?

  • What recourse do I have if the skylight leaks shortly after installation?

  • Do you have references I can speak with?

  • How long have you been in business?

  • Are you licensed and insured?

An improperly installed skylight could potentially impact your roof's warranty. This happens because roofing penetration is necessary during skylight installation. Check your warranty information to verify. In most cases, having skylights professionally installed with proof that flashing is being done to specifications can be enough to preserve your roof's warranty.

This is based on personal preference, budget, and the vibe you are going for with your holiday lighting. If you are looking for the cheapest option, incandescent lights are a budget-friendly choice. You can also opt for sheets of lights that cover areas such as trees and bushes for easier installation.

Yes, solar tubes work during the winter as long as it’s light outside and they aren’t covered by snow. Sun tunnels are made to work year-round to bring in natural light, and some people find them even more beneficial during the winter. With less daylight outside, it can be even more important to bring brightness into homes to reduce electricity costs.
