"J&L Pest Control took care of my problem, common house ants, in a professional manner. The technicians were on time, polite, clean & neat, and respectful of my home. The cost was exactly as quoted, no surprises, no up selling. Two days after treatment I received a follow up call. I would recommend J&L to anyone in need of an exterminator. Thank you Jai gonna J&L."

"I was told by a plumber it was probably a squirrel or raccoon nest. I called two places, this place gave me an angie's list discount and was $300 cheaper than the other company I called. When they came they told me that it was a plain old birds nest and they removed it and the price charged was $200 dollars less than the squirrel removal. So overall, they came quickly, did a great job, checked the dryer vent and the chimney and prices was so much less than the next company on the list that I called. I would absolutely use them again."

"We had a bird in our vent and Nicholas came over the same day we called Pestify and assessed the situation. They made sure that the bird was out, and then covered the vent so it could not get back in. We had great communication throughout the entire process and they were very knowledgeable."

"They started in mid June and I still have rodents. They are very good. They are very punctual and very helpful but the rodents are not going away. They are okay. I was promised that they would get rid of the rodents in two months and they are still here so they had to extend it for free. Whatever they are using, it really is not that effective. The rodents are outside. It's chipmunks and moles. They are not doing anything inside the house. Somehow the guy stopped coming. There was a mix up with their scheduling. They started sending me some random people. At one point, a guy came in and wanted to remove all of the traps prior to the contract expiration of the 2 months. If I hadn't met him, he would have taken all the traps. I told him no. They kept sending random people. He is going to come back next week for the final assessment. I saw a chipmunk this morning in the backyard. I know I live in the woods, but it's a little disconcerting. I haven't compared the price to anyone else. I went to Angie's List and they were the top rated company. It's a little expensive but I'd rather pay that than the landscaper who had to redo my lawn completely. If they finish with the chipmunks by the end of the season, maybe I will use them again."

Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:
Heat treatments
Freezing treatments
Traps
Barriers
Chemical pesticides
Fumigation
Rodenticides
Mechanical devices
Repellants
The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.
For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.
