"good until pressure of upstairs pressure from drain snaking forced a big overflow downstairs in kitchen sink. Whole kitchen floor flooded before they shut down flood. They used my personal towels to clean up flood instead of a shop vac which left me to lander six nasty smelling and dirty towels once they left. I had to mop for in kitchen and it left wood floor of sink wet and smelly. It also ruined a $200 wool rug I had in lichen. This was the Real Plumber."

"The turn around was very quick and went smoothly. Everyone was very polite, friendly and respectful. I am very pleased with my counters. In order for it to go quickly and smoothly it's important to have everything ready including purchasing the sink (if you are providing your own) and faucet, and the original counters clearing off for the template and removed for the install."

We also like to get things done in a timely manner. As far as billing, we provide an estimate for the job needed and typically ask for payment upon completion of work. At times, if need be, half down and half upon completion may be required. Our estimates are accurate and we do not like to surprise our customers, so if there is a possibility of higher cost, we will notify you immediately and work with you to the best of our ability. Our overall goal is outstanding workmanship with happy customers. We pretty much do it all. Give us a call and let us know what you're looking for! We service the entire Capital region.

"Joe from JMS Drain Services was my service technician who arrived well within the window scheduled service time. Joe came in, inspected the sink to determine how to resolve my issue, took out the tool (snake apparatus) to clear the sink, and departed my premises within 15 minutes. I was pleased he resolved my clogged sink so quickly so I could rest after a night's work. Thank you again, Joe."

"I would highly recommend this small business to anyone. We had an emergency backup/clog that caused our plumbing to be unusable. Found this business using Angie's List. Within minutes I was contacted and they were able to come within the hour, traveling 20+ miles. Justin was courteous and thorough. He made sure the main was unclogged and that all avenues of water travel were flowing smoothly. He also gave us some suggestions and things to look for. Great service! Great people! Prompt, thorough, courteous. Reasonable rates! Would definitely call again if we need plumbing/drain service."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

The average cost to hire a plumber is typically between $45 and $200 per hour, with a common average rate around $125 per hour. This cost can vary based on your location, the plumber's experience, and the complexity of the job. Rates are often broken down by experience level: an apprentice may charge $45 to $90 an hour, a journeyman $60 to $110 an hour, and a master plumber $80 to $200 an hour. While hourly rates are standard, some plumbers may charge a flat fee for routine projects or offer project-based pricing. It's also common for plumbers to charge a minimum service or trip fee. For reference, some typical flat-rate costs for common jobs include: drain unclogging ($220), leaky faucet repair ($270), burst pipe repair ($400), toilet repair ($300), and water heater repair ($600). Note that these rates are for standard service hours; emergency, holiday, and after-hours calls will cost significantly more.

There’s no definitive answer regarding whether equipping your kitchen island with a stove or sink is better. The right option depends on each homeowner's lifestyle, cooking style, and kitchen layout. If you cook with guests over, having a stove that faces outward can facilitate socialization while you prepare dinner. On the other hand, if you use a lot of produce, having your sink by your prep area makes it easier to clean veggies while cooking. A sink also makes cleanup easier by allowing you to wipe down your prep area and place your dirty dishes in the sink.

Yes, you can remove an undermount sink from granite countertops. However, it’s safest to hire a granite pro to take on this job. Your pro might have to make cuts and grind the granite to remove the sink. Plus, if you’re replacing your sink with a larger one, you’ll need your pro to enlarge the existing sink cutout in your granite.

Older faucet fixtures may have some corrosion, leaving them stuck. Try a few techniques to loosen the fixtures.

  • Wrap the fixture with a towel and tap the base with a hammer.

  • Use a putty knife to gently remove any caulk that may be holding the handle or fixture in place.

  • Apply a few drops of penetrating oil around the base of the fixture or around the nuts.

  • Purchase a faucet pulling tool to pop the fixture loose.

Some of the most common plumbing problems in mobile homes are frozen pipes, leaking pipes, clogged drains, and low pressure. Since the pipes in a mobile home aren’t as insulated as those in a standard build, they’re more susceptible to fluctuating temperatures and damage.
