"I needed a lot of work done on my neglected yard, and Dennison's gave me a very reasonable price. Joe's associate, Jim, owner of America's Southern Tier Tree Service, did the bulk of the work with Joe Dennison's son, Jason. They worked like mules all day, trimming branches and hedges, pulling down a TON of invasive grape ivy, taking down two good-sized juniper trees and pulling up locust and maple tree seedlings all over the place. Jim is an experienced arborist and gave me lots of good advice and ideas for clearing away weeds, improving the quality of my arborvitae trees and getting my all-but-dead rose bushes to flourish next season. When I pointed out a few things that had been left undone at the end of the day, Jim didn't argue or hesitate, he just immmediately took care of it. Unbidden, Jim even fixed a gutter pipe I'd squashed with my lawn mower! Plus, when they broke for lunch, they invited me to go along with them! They totally cleaned up after the job, too. I can't recommend them highly enough. I will certainly call Joe and Jim for any lawn or garden maintenance needs I have in the future."

If your palm tree has spots on the leaves, rotting buds, or is beginning to turn yellow, then you have a sick tree on your hands. You should contact a palm tree specialist to identify the problem and help treat the tree if possible. Preventing diseases and pests is key to a healthy palm tree, and it's essential to take action as soon as possible if your tree is showing signs of being sick.
Aside from removing dead or diseased branches, you should prune your trees somewhere between every one and three years. Some people—particularly commercial farmers—prune their apple trees yearly to produce higher yields. This is the best way to promote tree health. That said, the average homeowner can get away with hard-pruning their mature apple tree every other year or every three years.
As a general rule, the protected area should be about 1½ times as wide as the canopy of the tree’s leaves. This digging measurement can vary by tree species and the age of the tree. Of course, that can be a lot of fencing for larger trees, which is why our first step is about making difficult decisions on which trees to save.
Trees that flower in the spring—like dogwood, cherry, magnolia, and pear—should not be pruned during the winter. These spring-flowering plants grow buds on old growth, so you’ll actually remove what would’ve been gorgeous flowering foliage. Instead, wait to prune until right after they bloom, when the flowers fade.
Peach trees don’t tend to live as long as other types of trees and crops. They tend to last only about 12 years, and you shouldn’t expect to see a full peach harvest each of those years, either. Young peach trees need a few years to get established before they produce fruit, but you should have plenty of peaches for your pies and cobblers during their mature years, around years four through eight.
