They arrived at my house about an hour after i called for an estimate. he then called me and said they could remove the the large4 branch and clear the area in about an hour. They arrived about an hour later with a wood chipper and climbed the tree to saw off the the split branch remaining on the tree and cleared the branch and leaves and other debris, The job was completed about four hours after I called them. "I was looking for a Junk removal service I connected with Homeadvisor online. James Zeno of Zeno Property Services LLC was the first to call and we made an appt that day December 6 ,2021 for him to come look at the job..we agreed on a price and he and crew came to start the job on December 7,2021 and he came at the time he said he would start. I was very pleased with the way I was treated thru out the process of eliminating memorable possessions from my home..as it can be stressful on a customer...James and crew made the process painless and I would give him a 10 plus stars if that was the rating system.I already recommended Zeno Property Services LLC to my relative.Thank u again James for your help and kindness thru out the process of removal of many many things.that I could not part with but knew I had to get rid of.."

"Carlos Souza of JJT Landscaping is outstanding! I give him my highest recommendation. He is an incredibly hard worker, is conscientious, and takes great pride in his work. He is efficient and gets the job done as quickly as possible. He cleared leaves, mowed grass, removed weeds and saplings from a steep bank, and went above and beyond in every part of the job, all for a reasonable rate. He has a great sense of what looks good in landscaping and makes good recommendations for how to improve the overall appearance of the property. I am thrilled to have found him for our landscaper."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Unfortunately, lead dust does not look different from any other type of dust. You cannot detect it with the naked eye. To determine if you have lead dust in your home, you will need to hire a local company to take a sample from the paint and test it for you in a lab.
