"Dean contacted me almost immediately. He had someone out within one hour even though it wasn't an emergency. Jose came out and worked extremely hard to get through a huge blockage in my main sewer from tree roots. I couldn't believe what he pulled out. This was on a Saturday afternoon. By Monday morning the crew was out there, had the utility lines marked, and relined my main sewer. They finished by 4pm just as Jose had figured and explained to me. Very professional job. They were courteous, knowledgeable, hard working. Great job !"

"Cellino plumbing was very professional. We received a call prior to their arrival. No major issues were found. The technician was pleasant. I would have this company do future plumbing repairs if needed."

Small jobs welcome

"After dinner, we had water coming out of our kitchen ceiling light fixtures. As first time homeowners, we had never dealt with a plumber on our own. We call Cellino's emergency line. About an hour later, the leak in the pipe to the toilet was fixed by Daniel Neuman. Daniel was knowledgeable about the problem, provided a quick diagnosis, and fixed it for a very reasonable price - especially since it was an after hours call. We're so grateful that he came to the rescue. I'd recommend Cellino wholeheartedly based on this experience."

"Andrew performed an outstanding job on short notice. What was first thought of a leaking pipe, the root cause turned out to be the orientation of the piping was opposite of what it should be (angled upward instead of angled downward). Repairing this with the correct orientation fixed the issued. Identifying this and explaining the problem showed Andrew's plumbing expertise. I couldn't be happier with the repair that was performed."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Your home has a few telltale signs of a sewer line problem. If you notice multiple plumbing fixtures (toilet, sink, or shower drains) appear to be clogged, call a plumber ASAP. Also, if water appears in the tub or shower when you flush the toilet, you likely have a sewer line issue. A sulfur (rotten eggs) smell and bubbling or gurgling noises at the drain also warrant a check. And keep your eyes peeled for changes to the yard, such as a new indentation or mysteriously soggy grass.

Snaking a toilet is similar to clearing sinks and bathtubs, but there are unique circumstances where you’d have to drain, disassemble, and remove the toilet to fix the clog. For stubborn clogs in the toilet trap, a toilet auger—designed with a shorter cable and a protective plastic encasing—can navigate the tight bends and clear the clog without risking damage to the porcelain.

Yes, sewage smells can originate from a floor drain. If the P-Trap in the floor drain dries out or if there's a clog or other issue in the plumbing system, sewer gasses can escape through the drain, causing nasty odors. Regularly pouring water into the drain helps maintain the water seal and prevent those smells, but if the smell persists, you should have a plumbing professional inspect the drain for potential problems.

Depending on the home, wastewater either goes into a septic tank and seeps back into the backyard or is sent via sewer system to a local sewage-treatment plant. Septic systems naturally separate different components of the waste so that it can naturally and safely disperse it. They are usually reserved for homes not served by a municipal sewage department (like rural homes). A treatment plant, on the other hand, speeds up that process through screening and purification.

Water leaking through your basement floor is a good sign of a clogged drain, but another sign of a clogged basement floor drain can include unpleasant odors coming from the drain. Also, hearing gurgling noises when water drains from the basement or having other plumbing fixtures (like toilets or other drains) backing up is a good indicator.
