"Outstanding! Over a 17 year period on a previous house, I had hired dozens of contractors to remodel, install, fix, and service various aspects of that house – and Duane & Neal Carr are, by far, the most honest, straightforward, value-conscious, reasonably-priced, and dependable contractors whom I have ever worked with. From the first minute of hearing Duane talk about his HVAC recommendations for my home, I knew that I was talking with one of those very rare contractors who are singularly-focused on making sure that his quote reflected the absolute maximum value for the dollars that I would be spending for the new equipment. And he explained where these savings are found. You owe it to yourself to make Prime Heating & Air one of the two or more quotes you get for any HVAC work that you need done. I think you will agree with me that Duane & Neal are offering a customer experience that reflects integrity & values that are in short supply among today's contractors."
"Joe is very knowledgeable and responsive. Extremely thorough with describing the project. Very trustworthy which is hard to find at the big box HVAC & Plumbing companies! *Replaced 75 gallon hot water tank to a tankless water heater."

"My air conditioner was not cooling properly, so I found This company by Angiâ s list. They came out the same day, a Friday, on my schedule. The unit was frozen so they couldnâ t fix it right away. They needed to come back the next day. Unfortunately they were going to be out of town, however they said they would arrange for an HVAC friend to come out. Saturday morning at 8 am someone came out. The gentlemen cloud not have been any nicer. He fixed the problem in an hour. They didnâ t charge a fee to come out, nor did the gentleman who came out on Saturday require payment. It was left that they would get back to me for payment when they returned the following week. I have never met them, they didnâ t know me, and they could not have been nicer. They have found a customer for life, and I will recommend them to everyone I know. I canâ t thank them enough. If you are looking for an HVAC company, look no further than McCool Mechanical."
"Don is very knowledgeable of the appliances he works on. I trust his talent and opinions on what should be done to correct any problems with the appliance. He is the only appliance repair service that responded to my call within 24 hours. Any other one I tried would have a week or two wait time before they would come out. I found a new appliance repair guy in Don. I will without a doubt call Don should I need any other repairs."
"Needed a digital switch installed. They did not have the switch when arrived. They put in a temporary until the correct one arrived which was a week and a half later. The 2 men were very nice and the job was done correctly. The 2 visits combined were only a total of 40 minutes. I was very disappointed when they handed me the bill for 612. Dollars. After calling other electricians, the job after the fact , the job should have been no more than 350.00 . If you should use them, get a price up front."
"They replaced my central air conditioning and hot water heater. Great process, good people. Very patient, answered all my questions (I was an engineer, so you know there were a lot of specific and obscure questions). Not the lowest price, but when it comes to making sure that the job was done correctly (and excellently) the first time, they were very well worth it!"
"They are very well oiled machine they have great communication skills . Everything is always ready to go with no problems i would highly recommend this property management company to all my HOA'S and homeowners"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts
A home AC unit provides anywhere from one-half to five tons of cooling and requires approximately two to four pounds of refrigerant per ton of cooling. At approximately five to 10 minutes to fill one pound of refrigerant, a home that requires three tons of cooling will take about six to 12 pounds of refrigerant and approximately 30 minutes to two hours to completely recharge the unit.
To extend your HVAC system’s lifespan, it’s crucial to keep up with maintenance. This includes changing filters and thermostat batteries, keeping the outside unit clean and clear of clutter, and lubricating moving parts. Watch out for leaks, mold buildup, and blockages to ensure your unit stays in good working order. Spotting these issues early can be the difference between a simple, wallet-friendly repair and an expensive replacement.
You should know the main components of an air conditioner: the condenser coils, evaporator coils, drip pan, AC filter, ducts, and refrigerant. Each part plays a key role in the performance and safety of your AC system. When tracking the source of AC issues or odors, it helps to know where to look. Your outdoor unit houses your condenser coils, fan, and compressor. Your indoor unit houses your evaporator coils, drain lines, and filter, and it connects to your ductwork.
The compressor is the heart of your AC system and is one of the most important parts required to keep it functioning properly. If your AC unit is making a popping, banging, clanging, clicking, or screeching sound, it could point to a problem with the compressor. If the unit is physically vibrating, that can also be an indication that your AC compressor is going bad.
If your drain line is clogged, your AC might stop cooling, shut down, or refuse to turn on at all. Otherwise, you might see your AC leaking water, find standing water or water damage near the unit, or notice a musty smell coming out of your air conditioner or vents.
