"Overall, it went pretty well. I took a while to decide on which of the colours and edging I wanted; they did a good job of following up and reminding me. Since this work is for a house I'm renting, I wasn't always able to get measurements quickly. There were some quirks. The Big Deal price doesn't include removal and disposal of the old countertop; that was an additional $300. It also doesn't include the re-attachment of the sink as they don't do that work so I needed to get a plumber involved. To be fair, both of these were disclosed in the Big Deal and by them afterwards. Since this is template-based, I went out to the house and met an installer who created the template. He worked quickly but, unfortunately, his English was rather limited and several times during the entire project, he had to call their main office and hand me the phone so I could talk to someone there instead. This slowed down the process and made the interactions feel clumsy. On a positive note, they do care about the work; I had decided on 1/4" bevel edging and the main office called back and said that that edging has a higher risk of chipping and, since this is a rental, I should go with the 3/8" round instead, which I did. Since I was reusing my old sink, they brought the slab in and cut the hole for it on-site but used a vacuum and cleaned up the dust quite well. They also lowered the slide-in sink since the new countertop are thinner than the old one. This was after yet another back-and-forth conversation that resulted in a phone call to the main office so they could tell me they would do the work but wouldn't be liable for any resulting damage; there was none. The result looks good and once I get the sink re-attached, all will be well. There are still a couple of minor issues but it is a worthwhile upgrade."

He has installed and cut the glass shower door and is amidst installing the windows on our porch. He did do an excellent job on the tile work in the bathroom. We have been working since the middle of April to get this project done."

"I have a water purifying system that takes care of my whole house and it had been leaking.  So they came in once with 2 guys, but they couldn’t fix it.  They had to get a part.  They did order the part and came back with it a couple of months later.  One guy returned with the part and he was able to fix it.  They sent me a bill which I thought was more than they should have charged me for.  They had two guys out the first time; they really shouldn’t have.  They charged me for supposedly for transportation and its only 10 minutes from my house.  So, spoke with the owner Mike Mulholland and he did agree that it was overpriced.  They lowered it to $500; originally it was $668.  They know what they are doing, but you just have to make sure that they are very specific on their bill with what they charged you and to keep track of them the time that they are here.  I would use them again because now they know that I am someone they have dealt with before and to be fair with me next time because I caught them the first time."

"Dishwasher and ceiling fan service was wonderful. Garbage disposal is on its way, the shower fixture was a little messy and have to return 3 times to fix, pray its the last time. But not Choice Warranty's fault. Alittle pricey but allows you to pay them out."

"This was a big deal purchase. I was not happy with that deal at all. I think that the advertising on this is extremely misleading. It's suppose to be a $39.00 service call and $39.00 off. As it turns out, he says, and this is certainly not clear in your advertising that it is $39.00 for a service call and $39.00 for a return visit. Based on his prices, there will never be a return visit. I mean, if I'm getting a $39.00 service call, and it's a relatively simple job, I wouldn't expect to cost me almost $200.00 more for him to do what he did. His prices are crazy. It turned out not to be a good deal. If a service call is $39.00 and someone is there for an hour, or less than an hour, probably close to thirty minutes. How much would you expect that to cost you? The service call is already paid for as part of the deal. I just think his prices are crazy. I don't remember what the total was, it was around $200.00.  It ended up costing around $200.00, I had to argue with him on that. He wanted to charge me another $75.00 for installing one little piece of pipe. It was really kind of an optional we might as well change this while we're at it. I'm not trying to be cheap in any way, shape or form but, I think his prices would have been high if I had not paid for the big deal. So, the big deal turns out to be nothing. Signup and basically get nothing. I don't have any problem with the quality of service but, his price is what's crazy. No other real comments other than that. My interaction was fine. The work that was done was fine. There was nothing exceptional, nothing that was poor. Nothing beyond what you would expect from an ordinary situation."

"Contractor, Total Air Care - Polar Plumbing came as agreed and replaced garbage disposal. American Home Shield stated that the service charge would be $75.00 the same as I paid when the previous garbage disposal was replaced under my American Home Shield contract. This time the contractor said there would be an additional charge of $67.00 because pipes had to be rerouted or the warranty would be void. The previous contractor had no such charge and did not reroute the pipes. I feel like Total Air Care - Polar Plumbing is ripping me off."
