"The first problem with a basement water issue is getting your arms around the magnitude of the problem and what it is going to take to correct it. I invited Neil from Neverwet Basement Waterproofing to asses the situation in my 60 year old ranch basement. I feel Neil gave me a fair, honest and trustworthy evaluation of the situation. After major consternation I decided there was no way around the problem, it needed to be fixed. I went for the full recommended solution: New complete indoor drain replacement, new sump pump, trench and waterproof of the exterior walls, add an interior white Dry Shield and install (4) glass block windows. This was a $16K project but we are now comfortable that we have gotten our money's worth. The work site leader, Kevin, is very competent and very easy to work with on a daily basis. My wife and I were constantly updated on a daily basis of what was going to be going on. I was home to watch the progress and constantly checked with Kevin on small details. I would suggest that I am a tough grader but Kevin resolved every little detail to my satisfaction. I can't say enough positive about the work crew either. They are very knowledgeable, conscientious, courteous and friendly. They worked very hard and also did a solid clean up job at the end of each day. Overall, this really isn't a project you want to run into. I had let the problem fester for several years but if for nothing else, do it for your personal health. If you are in this situation, I think that Neverwet is the team you want in your home. "I own an 90-year old historic colonial high school turned into a bed & breakfast. The windows were neglected over the past 20-30 years and in serious demand of work. Modern day window contractors were not going to understand this job. It's very difficult to find a contractor that will come through on a promise and has the skill to do as they boast. The day that Grady stepped into my 90 year-old home that needed historic window restoration, he became a part of the house. He knew exactly what had to be done. More importantly, he understood my expectations. These windows needed special attention. There was a level of detail required that not any expert would be able to handle. Grady took the time to learn their needs and stayed on the job until it was to my satisfaction. He even reworked an entire window just because I didn't like the way that it looked. Grady truly showed expertise with his ability to work on such a delicate job and even taught me a few things about historic window repair. He replaced broken antique glass with one just as aged and just as historic. If a window had to be completely rebuilt beyond his solid estimate, he did it without any complications to my budget. My windows are not only restored, but they are literally brought back from the past. Any enthusiast will appreciate the lint-seed oil, putty, and antique glass that was all restored to perfection. It was a pleasure having Grady work with us. He even stayed in the house at times to make sure he was available for the job.
