"Harry not only showed up the same day I called for an estimate, he was very professional and offered options for my deck project. The next day H.W.F.'s estimate was hand delivered & hired on the spot. Work was completed in one day ~ I was delighted when I turned the corner of my street & my larger deck was complete with some extra details. I would recommend Harry & his crew to my friends without hesitation. I've received many compliments from neighbors on the wonderful deck H.W.F. built for me!"

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

Yes, with modifications or the use of adapter kits for tricky placements.

Egress windows require regular maintenance to ensure they function correctly. This includes cleaning the glass, inspecting the frame and well for debris, and making sure the cover or well drains properly. It is also important to check that the window sills and wells are watertight and to inspect and repair any damage to the window frame or seals to prevent leaks and maintain functionality.

When you need new windows depends on a variety of factors, including the age of your windows, the age of your home, and the climate you live in. If you’re dealing with budget constraints, you don’t need to replace all your windows simultaneously.

When buying new windows, you should consider energy efficiency, safety, and aesthetics to choose the right window for you.

The proper way to install a window well is to measure the window, dig a hole deeper and wider than the window, place a drainage tube and cap, anchor the well to the foundation, caulk the seam, and backfill the hole. The job requires tools such as a hammer drill and auger and some heavy digging. Proper placement and window well installation are critical to preventing water from leaking into the window.

The cost of window installation depends on several factors, including the window type, size, and frame material. Labor rates, the need for custom sizing, and any required structural modifications will also influence the final price.
