Keep in mind I had informed him that the job was usually done by me, annually, in January, but this year I had gotten lazy and decided to let a "Pro" handle it. What a perfect opportunity for an unscrupulous business person to agree, "Yes you definitely need my services, and in fact, I'm surprised your house hasn't burned down yet!" Not this gent. Instead, he and his assistant did a most thorough testing and inspection along with recommendations for my future guidance. His prognosis: "Your dryer and vents are fine; you don't need my to do anything, I would only be taking your money for nothing: Call me back in a year. NO charge for today!" Guess what I'll be doing a year from now...... along with touting him to neighbors, friends and relatives . We need more business people like Harold. If you don't employee My Dryer Vent Guy, you are in serious need of professional help!"
