We got quotes from multiple vendors, and though Frank was not the least expensive (he was right in the middle), he blew away the competition--even those higher priced--in customer service, clarity, communication, and final quality. From design through completion, we were impressed by his talent, professionalism and transparency. His contract was detailed and comprehensive, such that we knew exactly what we were getting, how it would be constructed, and when each piece of the project would be completed and delivered. He sent us beautiful photos of his process throughout construction. He was quick to answer questions via text, and sent us gentle reminders when we had design questions to answer for him. The final product is absolutely stunning and solid. The kids can climb the wrap-around 11 foot bookcases, and while they might get injured in the process - it won't be because of a flaw in the bookcases; these things are built to last forever. Frank even guarantees his work and includes returns for touch ups when the wood shrinks and moves seasonally. "I hate being condescended to. Listen to what I want and then give suggestions on how I might be able to work that out in my kitchen. Don't just tell me it can't be done. I felt like I was wasting my time. I asked about a particular type of closet (not realizing it was part of a bigger cabinet...how would I know) and she told me to follow her (using her finger to me like a child) and said I couldn't have it because it was as part of a bigger piece. She could have just said that. I said if I can't make my kitchen more "usable" (less wasted space), WHY to with custom cabinets. I could just reface. The woman behind me who was waiting to ask her a question said. Listen, if you can't get what you want, I don't blame you for not spending the money. It's easy to reface. So, I called another company and, low and behold, I'm getting partial refacing and partial custom cabinets. He came and we discussed HOW I could get my carousel cabinet (uh - he suggested I go from a double to a single sink - easy peasy) AND, he came in at half the price your website suggested I might pay.
