"Ryan, when I called him to cancel his appt to estimate the job of cleaning my gutters due to the fact that the first provider who came examined the gutters and said they needed no cleaning or repairing, complained that he had already paid homeadvisor for contacting me ($20, I think he said). I called Homeadvisor at his request to let them know I had canceled the appointment so that maybe he could be refunded that money. Apparently, providers are not supposed to ask customers to call on their behalf for this - there is a provider credit service available for them to use. All in all, the exchange kinda left me somewhat uncomfortable."

They are difficult to reach as they are a new business and do not have business cards. It would be difficult for me to get in touch with them and hire them again as it stands. I reached out to Harold based on his listing on Angie's List before I bought my home--free of charge, he took a look at the roof on a property I was considering buying--giving me an estimate and advice. His help led me to find that the sellers were dishonest about the condition of and work done on their roof, and I purchased a different property in Hudson, NY. My home is a 1927 Craftsman that needed quite a bit of work. I hired Harold based on his honesty and responsiveness in helping me evaluate the first property. True to form, his estimate and ultimate cost to repaint the entire interior, repair and sheetrock floors and ceilings, refinish and replace hardwood floors, completely remodel a bathroom, rewire and install light fixtures, match original woodworking, install cabinetry, windows, and appliances, and even assist with installing new furniture, were more than reasonable. Better yet, the quality of his work was of the highest caliber. He has restored and improved a lovely home, and I am so thankful! I have to say that most of all, I am so happy with Harold's professionalism and diligence. Not every contractor is known for staying on the job and completing it on time. Especially in my situation, where I am a single woman trying to restore a second home when I live out of state--I assumed I would have difficulty in getting any contractor to be present and complete the job on time. "Maria and her team were very professional and courteous. They worked well together and hardly ever took breaks. This team hand brushed the entire house and it looks great. Clean-up was well done too. Maria was one of the only painters in the area that was willing to work us into her very busy schedule. She knew we had a very strict timeline and the job had to be finished quickly (we had renters arriving). Despite all the rain we had last week and an unfortunate personal issue, they got the job done just in time. I'm grateful for Maria and her team and their diligence.
