Our company began as a decorative concrete pool surrounds company in 1984. Back then, the company, known as Concrete Concepts, was run by the Presidents father. For years he worked alongside his father learning the ins and outs of the industry. In 2007, the company moved into the market of full pool installations in the states of North and South Carolina. By 2015 the company got passed from father to son. The president became heavily involved in the fiberglass pool market and in 2017 he decided to completely change the direction of the company and focus fully on pool installations. In 2018 the company underwent a name change to Oasis Pool & Spa. Oasis Pool & Spa strives as a whole to surpass industry standards and maintain exceptional professionalism throughout the company. Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

A pool enclosure could be a great decision if you’re considering dedicating funds toward pool remodeling costs. Pool enclosures offer benefits like enhanced security and keeping out dirt, debris, dust, and insects—which helps reduce the maintenance and cleaning needed—and uninvited animals and trespassers. Your enclosure can also provide extra shade and UV protection to make your pool time more enjoyable. In some cases, your pool enclosure may increase your home’s value.

Depending on your budget, wants, and needs, a pool enclosure can be a worthwhile investment. It all comes down to how much you use your pool, and what it would mean to you to have year-round access to it.

If you know that you'll swim in your pool a lot, then having an enclosure means you don't have to worry about the weather. It's also a lot easier to maintain the water, because you don't have to deal with leaves falling into the pool, and the water's chemical levels tend to be more stable.

If you live in an area where pool enclosures are expected, like in Florida, having one won't necessarily increase your home value. However, it's worth noting that in warm climates, a pool can add $11,600 to $95,000 to a home's value.

On the other hand, if you're in an area where pool enclosures are not common, having one might set your home apart from the crowd. Depending on the appraiser, you may see an additional $25,000 to $27,000 or more for an enclosed, inground pool when it comes time to sell.

The life span of a screen on a pool cage depends on the material used:

  • Fiberglass screens last from 10 to 15 years.

  • Aluminum screens last 15 to 20 years.

  • Polyester screens last 20 to 30 years.

  • Stainless steel screens last 30 years or more.

The best way to heat a swimming pool depends on your pool and location. Those living in sunny environments may find that a solar-powered heater works just fine, but you may need something more reliable, like a gas or electric heater if it’s often cloudy where you live. When in doubt, try a few lower-cost options first to see if they meet your needs before going all in on a more expensive heater.
