"I could not have been happier to have Mike and his crew take care of fixing some serious problems from another terrible landscaper. I will continue to use Green World for more the foreseeable future on all my landscaping needs. I highly recommend using Green World. Mike will not disappoint you in his professionalism and fast and efficient work."
"R O W was the only company of six called that responded with a professional, detailed quote. Several of the other five companies were highly rated within Angie's List, did not bother to visit the site, simply quoting the resurfacing. R O W altered the quote several times per my requests to customize the quote. They did not try to and quot;up-selland quot;, and proved a range of options and prices (thanks Randy!). They were able to start within the contracted start date, and a full team finished the job on time, even during the brutal summer heat. The quality of the work, both the color-flecked quartz surface and tile work, was very good. They made sure the start-up went well, even in my absence. Without R O W, I doubt this job would have gone so well, we're very please with the result and the price was a bargain given the size and condition of this pool. My last contractor had walked off the job because of the spa wall re-build - R O W saved the day.
"Contacted King’s landscape for yard clean up. Luis was quick to come and estimate the work that needed to be done to satisfy both myself and the HOA. Was in for quite a shock when he stated my palm trees had to be pulled—they were not planted with enough room to grow. I was unhappy with the tall grass like bushes I had growing too so he said he could replace those as well. The estimate was a little higher than what I was hoping. But I was short on time. They were able to come two days later to complete the work. I had to work so I paid them and trusted them to do a good job. I was impressed with how it looked when I returned home. They even took the debris, that was a first for me. Overall, great work — slightly pricey."
After you fill in your pool, you can add trees and plants that help stabilize the soil. You might decide not to fill it in at all and find another use for the sunken area instead. A few ideas include creating a seating area or garden inside the empty pool. Depending on its size, you could create a place to roller-skate or install basketball hoops for an unconventional court.
Most outdoor water fountains and features do not use a lot of electricity, typically consuming between 100 and 250 watts per day. The size of the fountain's motor can impact its overall electricity usage. To reduce energy consumption, you can use a timer to automatically turn the fountain off at night or when you are away from home. Additionally, installing solar power components can help lower electricity costs after the initial investment is recouped.
When deciding whether or not to turn off your pump, you should consider your area’s climate and the aquatic life in your pond. If you live in an area with freezing winter temperatures and don’t have any wildlife, keeping your pump on could damage it. If you have aquatic life but live in a colder climate, you might consider keeping your pump running and adding a pond heater.
While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:
River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.
These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.
River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.
Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.
Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.
A koi pond may add value to your home if it’s a feature sellers are looking for. Like pools, ponds can affect your property value depending on their condition, whether they’re a popular selling point, and how well they’re incorporated into your home’s landscape.
