"The plumber installed a Moen shutoff device as required by our insurance company to prevent potential flooding from water line leaks. The work was expertly and professionally done. The office staff was helpful and pleasant to work with and understood what we needed."

"Mike and Matt came to my residence to help locate a possible leak. They were both extremely professional and very friendly. They were able to locate and fix the leak very quickly and advised me of everything they were doing and the cost every step of the way! I would highly recommend Silver State Plumbing and hope you get these guys! They are amazing!"

"What I thought would be a simple job turned out to be a major deal. Apparently the toilet tank had a crack. That was something I couldn't ignore it had to be fixed otherwise I could end up with a flood in my home. Therefore the entire toilet had to be replaced. But what really concerns me now is that my sprinkler system is now pouring water out at the main connection, which is costing money not to mention a lot of wasted water. I don't know if turning the main off for the water has broken this when the plumber turned it on after the toilet job was done. I got one problem resolved to end up with another water problem."

"Vortex Filtration Inc is a excellent company with vast experience & knowledge in conditioning potable well water. I recommend Vortex Filtration Inc to design build and install their patented Vortex water system to solved all well water conditioning issues. My client had a problem for over tens years prior to the installation of the Vortex system. Once installed, the well water in the holding tank was crystal clear. Thanks Vortex!"

"Daniel of High Quality Plumbing can be counted on to fix anything at any time! He removed an old tub and repaired and prepared the flooring and walls for the installation of a new shower in its place. His calm assurance that all will be well during "Disaster! Disaster!" (Rick's actual words) times is remarkable and oh-so-soothing to The Panicked. From broken and water-spouting lawn pipes to leaking ones under the house, Daniel can fix it with a speed, quality, and good pricing. We are thankful for the serendipitous encounter with Daniel and his dad in the bath fixture aisle at Home Depot. Our lucky stars were aligned on that day!"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

First, check that you have cut off the water supply to your toilet. This is a project that can only be done safely if running water cannot reach your toilet fixture. If you're seeing water trickle out after you've confirmed that the water supply is shut off, you can probably rest assured that what you're seeing isn't a problem. It's common for leftover water to spill out when you're removing your toilet's fill valve. If something goes wrong while you're working on your toilet, you'll need to look at your home's policy to see if your homeowner insurance covers water damage.

Tools include a wrench, plunger, and wax ring. Professionals use specialized tools for complex installations.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

Tools include pipe wrenches, plungers, and augers. Professionals use advanced equipment for complex issues.

While a toilet dripping on the outside can be caused by condensation, a toilet that is constantly dripping on the inside is usually caused by a deteriorated flapper. This is one of the most common types of toilet leaks. As the flapper degrades, it won’t seal properly, and water will constantly leak into the toilet.
