"They showed up on time and did a great job. I made a last-minute change where the charger should be installed, and it was a little further away and harder to get to, but Jacob and his team got right on it made the necessary adjustments and got my charger plug in installed and it looks great. Jacob even took a look at an outlet in my bathroom and quickly fixed that on the way out. The work was top notch at a fair price. I will hire Trouble Shooting Electrical for any future needs I may have."
General handyman things, light electrical, landscaping, painting, plumbing and pretty much anything else. I also know my limits, so if there is something I am not 100% certain I can do up to standards then I will be honest. Cost is always negotiable with me.
"Our technician was early and ready to work when he arrived! He found the source of the problem with our outlet quickly and then was willing to work on another electrical problem in our garage. Unfortunately, that one was complicated and we elected not to pursue a solution at that time (it involved cutting open the garage ceiling to see where the wiring was messed up.) We would definitely hire this company again for electrical work. Great attitude, pleasant and got to the source of the problem quickly."
"Great company. Responsive, knowledgeable, and fair price. No hidden costs. I will be calling Mr. Electric for all my electrical projects and repairs moving forward!"
"They have been out more than once as they are that good! They were very responsive and the work was exceptional and they explained how to use the system. Clean work and just overall nice guys."
"When work completed; he stated concerns that his work was not in compliance with building codes or up to industry standards. I did not ask for a guarantee; and did not ask for him to downgrade his own work. In fact his work to lay plywood and flashing; and liquid rubber membrane on the roof was above quality of original materials and construction. Original design of flat roof did not allow for drainage by a gradient which was not by code or building industry standards. Additionally skylight area had never been properly installed. His repairs were asked to be above previous building quality."

Generally, you’ll want to keep between 60 and 70 feet between the generator and the transfer switch. There are a few reasons for this, including:
The distance reduces the noise coming from the generator into your home.
It increases efficiency because you won’t have a voltage drop from this short of a distance.
Prevents carbon monoxide poisoning: keep at least 15 feet between your generator and an open window.
In most municipalities, you will need a permit to install a permanent home generator, including emergency backup, partial-home, and whole-home generators. A permit for a generator usually costs between $50 and $250, depending on where you live. Your electrician or certified generator installer will usually pull the permit for you—and might be required to do so by your building department—but you’ll be on the hook for the cost of the permit. You should ask your installer before agreeing to any work if they will pull the necessary permits for your project.
While natural gas generators are costly, they’re a great option for standby power due to the reliability of natural gas as a fuel source. Unlike other fuels, natural gas is delivered through underground pipes, making outages extremely rare and less likely to be affected by the elements. As long as the area isn’t prone to earthquakes, they offer an unlimited supply of natural gas that doesn’t degrade over time or require storage in tanks.
Potential benefits of using a natural gas generator include reducing your carbon footprint, lower likelihood of carbon monoxide exposure, budget-friendly operating costs, and low-maintenance, continuous fuel supply. Some possible drawbacks, though, include higher initial installation costs, dependency on a natural gas supply, and installation complexity. Keep in mind that pros and cons will vary based on the type and brand of natural gas generator.
Natural gas generators are designed to run for extended periods of time, such as power outages during a natural disaster. Since there’s no limit to the supply of natural gas, they don’t need to stop for refills. However, generators do need maintenance, including pauses to check and add oil. Constantly running them will also cause a lot more wear and tear, leading to a shorter lifespan.
