"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

"Steve gets right to work. He had the carpet looking far, far better than it had any right to look in just a little while. We were amazed and very pleased. He doesn't leave it really wet, and so it was dry enough in just a couple of hours. We're totally happy with that. Then he got started with the tile. He did a once over with the steam cleaner but it wasn't able to budge the grime embedded in the grout lines. He came and got me, and we discussed what next and he was really open and frank with me about the time it would take to really bring it back to looking good - and the additional cost ($100). He said that he might have to try and few different products to see which worked best. Finally he got a mild acid which he put in all the grout lines - by hand from a squeeze bottle - and then after letting it etch for a couple minutes, he got down on hands and knees and scrubbed every inch of grout line ... 300 square feet of tile. It was one h*** of a hard job. Then he would go back over it in sections, with the steam cleaner. He got not only the kitchen but also the laundry room and half bath - even emptied out the laundry room coat closet ( and kitty box ) to take care of that space too. Wow. Finally, he sealed all the grout lines. The floor looks amazing! We were really, really pleased. He spent about two hours on that floor, mostly on hands and knees. Afterward, he briefed me on how to clean the floor without destroying the sealer on the grout. He told me exactly why I shouldn't use the products I thought were fine. They aren't and now I 'get it'. I'll never let this happen again. I should probably mention that we felt just fine about going out to lunch with him there. He's done the floors for me before a couple of years ago and I think he's completely trustworthy. It cost more than either of us anticipated, but I have my original beautiful and expensive tile floor back the way it was when new. I'm really pleased."

The life expectancy of your laminate flooring is 10 to 30 years, depending on how well you maintain it. Unlike hardwood flooring, you cannot refinish laminate to prolong its lifespan. So while laminate is more budget-friendly, it does not last as long as hardwood. You can increase the lifespan of your floor by maintaining a regular cleaning schedule, using the right cleaning products, and wiping up spills promptly.
Plywood is the best type of subfloor for a mobile home, though if you’re installing flooring in a bathroom, you may want to install a vapor barrier or use a moisture-proof subfloor material like Amdry. OBS is similar, but it can swell when moisture is present.
Either way, old mobile home subflooring made from particleboard can cause issues with your joints. If you’re replacing your subfloor, it’s best to upgrade to plywood.
Sheet vinyl is the cheapest DIY flooring, depending on the brand, style, and quality you choose. Not only is it one of the most affordable flooring products on the market, but it is also easy for most homeowners to install, as it only requires cutting, trimming, and gluing down to the existing floor surface. If you’re using a carpet runner instead of a traditional carpet, pay attention to your width measurements. Instead of measuring the total width of your staircase with 2 added inches for foldover, simply measure the width you’d like the runner to cover. Runners generally come in standard sizes, so you may need to approximate what would look best in your space.
