"Fortunately for us, Reule Sun Corp also install windows and have extensive experience with home construction in general.  Reule Sun Corp sealed all the existing windows after the structural repair had been done.  Before continuing with the stucco work they tested the window for leaks.  The work they did was very professional, the project manager was there every step of the repair making sure that the work was done properly and was ready to re-schedule their stucco crew as soon as they needed to be there.
Bob Reule was in daily contact with us and visited the job every day.

"This is a long, but honest review- Let me start by saying I have mixed emotions. I reached out to Aesthetic Windows and Doors February 6th, they gave me an estimate to replace my sliding glass door and sent someone out to do some measurements. The next day I got another quote from the person that came out to do the measurements, that was nearly 30% more than the original quote. I questioned why (it was a standard door, as previously quoted), and they said they would do the job for the original quoted price. The install was supposed to take place February 10th, however it snowed so they were unable to do the install- understandable. They stated that they would call to reschedule Monday, February 12. I did not hear from them, so I called them February 13, they set the install for February 15th. They came out and put the door in on the 15th. Okay, great, however, they did not cover the area that they were working, and my ENTIRE downstairs was COVERED in dust. It took me 2hrs to clean everything. Not only that, but they failed to let me know that there would be a different crew to come out, at a different time, to do the stucco patchwork as well as the indoor framing. After the install crew left, I got a call for the remaining balance final payment. I found this odd being that the job was only half done. I let them know that I would not be making the final payment until the job was complete and asked to get on the schedule with the stucco crew. I was given the date of February 27. It was a long way out, but I was told that was the soonest because they had a “big job” going on. February 20th, I got a call that they were on the way out to do the stucco patch. Well, it was a Tuesday, and I was at work- so I had to take off and meet them for what was supposed to be a “45min.-1hr” job. They arrived at 9:30 and did not finish until noon. When they finished the outdoor stucco patch, they just left- didn’t tell me they were done, didn’t lock up the gate, just left. Not to mention the fact that they had a boy, couldn’t have been older than say 13yrs old, working with them, which is UNACCEPTABLE. They still had to return to do the indoor framing, paint the stucco, install the screen door, and replace my wrought iron bars. I got a call later that day scheduling the remaining work for February 26th. They arrived and finished the job, as scheduled, on the 26th. This is where my mixed feelings come in- the process was horrible- However, the door is great, the price was great, and they good work. If you don't mind the horrible communication, unfinished work, and messes, their work is good."

"Mariano Aragon did a fantastic job of repairing some seriously damaged areas in my kitchen and guest bathroom. After the plumbing repairs were complete both rooms were a disaster area. Mariano came to the rescue, rebuilt all the structural damage and did beautuful refinishing of the plaster and and a masterful job of marrying the new tiles he replaced with the existing tiles that weren’t damaged. I am more than happy with the final results! Mariano was cheerful, thoughtful and completely reliable through out the days of his restoration project for me. I highly recommend him for his excellent, inventive and superior work!"

Door Repair questions, answered by experts

Most of the time, a squeaky door is the result of dry hinges, where metal parts rub together without enough lubrication. Dirt, dust, or rust can also build up inside the hinge and add to the friction. Loose screws or slight misalignment can shift things just enough to create that irritating squeaking noise. Worn-out hinges or swelling wood from humidity changes can also be part of the problem on older doors. A good cleaning and proper lubrication usually take care of it, but if the squeak sticks around, it’s worth checking for bigger issues with the hinges or alignment.

If your door is sticking at the bottom because it’s making contact with the floor, there are a few fixes you can try. Start by tightening the hinge screws. Next, check for a floor sweep or insulation on the bottom edge of the door that is getting caught on the floor. If these solutions don’t work, try sanding the bottom edge of the door.

Most exterior door knobs have their screws on the interior facing side to prevent against potential theft. If you’re locked out of your house and are trying to remove the door knob from the outside, it’s best to call a locksmith who has the appropriate tools.

If you recently tightened screws to fix a loose doorknob, the issue is likely that you over tightened them. Doing so binds the turning mechanism, which will prevent your doorknob from bouncing back when you turn and release it. To fix this problem, loosen the mounting screws just a little so that the knob bounces back as expected but doesn’t wiggle. If this doesn’t fix the issue, try loosening the knob, centering it in the boring hole, and then tightening it.

A sliding glass door is an integral part of your home, and when a repair is needed, it can be tricky to diagnose what needs to be repaired by yourself (aside from broken glass, which may be easy to see). Some common repairs that are necessary for sliding glass doors include:

  • Broken glass

  • Damaged door frame

  • Sliding panel replacement

  • Roller replacement

  • Broken door knob or handle

  • Damaged latches

  • Ripped screens

  • Bad seal
