"Needed a fan replaced. Tech put his ear to machine and determined which fan was bad. Went and got part and replaced that fan. Still made noise. He then unplugged the fans, like he should have done in the first place, and found it was another fan that was bad. He left without solving my problem I have ordered a fan, the correct one, and will install it myself. Very expensive non repair. I will say though, the customer service was pretty good and they did come to my home so I did not have to carry the computer anywhere."
"We discussed designs for our family room. She was easy to work with and everything was done through email. We sent Jill details about the room and photos. She understood things well, sent us back ideas and a few room plans. We didn’t use her ideas but they were valuable for us for other perspectives. The deal was exactly what we expected."
"Kye was absolutely amazing as was his helper. The service I received I will definitely be using his business again high Quality professional service. Very reasonable prices and the timeframe fit perfectly in my schedule. Thank you again for your hard work. The bathroom mirror outlet came out perfect!"
Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts
Duct fans in HVAC systems last an average of 15 to 20 years. Because these fans operate in relatively controlled environments, they can maintain their efficiency for a long period of time. To maximize the lifespan of your duct booster fan, have your HVAC system maintained regularly.
Blower fans are better for preventing mold growth than dehumidifiers because they target the damaged areas and increase the rate of evaporation, which dries out the building materials. Ideally, you should run blower fans and a dehumidifier, as this will allow the fans to move dry air over your damaged building materials, drying out the space even more quickly.
Selecting the right size wood stove fan depends on the size of your stove and the room it heats. Larger stoves or rooms may benefit from fans with larger or multiple blades, as these can move more air efficiently. Consider the fan's specifications and airflow capacity to match it with your stove's heat output for optimal performance.
It depends on your budget and cooling needs. Whole-house fans keep your home breezy by pulling in cool air and pushing out hot air. In places with milder climates, they can replace air conditioning. On the other hand, Attic fans focus on keeping your attic cool—not your entire house. Often, whole-house fans cost more than attic fans, with installation ranging from $600 to $3,600.
Yes, you can oil an electric fan with machine or motor oil but don’t use cooking oil because it can become thick or seize up, damaging the fan. Before oiling your fan, turn it off and remove any dust and debris. Wipe away any excess lubricant after oiling.
