At our house (at different times) Taz has done structural work for us; fully renovated our kitchen; installed a pocket door on a tiny 1/2 bathroom; fixed the walls and floor in a formerly useless closet; and, tore out a huge mess of a mechanical room, turning it into useful, attractive storage space. They deliver on time (including amazingly short timeframes) and on budget (as much as any contractor can be, given the fluctuation in material costs over the past few years). They do a terrific job of minimizing mess and displacement for the homeowner and pets. Would never use anyone else but Anthony and his talented crew. He may sometimes cost more than other contractors, but you get what you pay for - you may find cheaper, but you will NOT find better. "The technician arrived promptly.  We walked through the house to look at what was to be done, and I provided him with a written list (which I never saw again). The actual patching was very well done, but the texturing on about half the patches was not very good. I felt the need to remind the technician about some of the patches, and I had to touch up about three of the deeper patches later. Cleanup was reasonably well done with a broom and dustpan, except for one of the patches where there were bits of old drywall left on the floor. After I vacuumed, all was again in order.  I had the feeling that the quality of cosmetic work became lower as time went on.
In summary, the structural part of the patches was very well done, but the cosmetic part of the job was not.

"We needed to replace the window in our two-car garage. The work included removal of the existing window with its nail-fin frame; purchase and installation of the new vinyl window with its nail-fin frame; installation of moisture barrier, metal lath and skim coat; and repair of the stucco around the window. "Overall it went well. We had a few date/day changes that worked out though I stress when I need to adjust my work schedule. I work full time and have learned that I need to be on -site when work is done by independents. I also have 3 dogs that need to be managed. As a widowed and single older person, I feel a bit more protective of my space and security both during and in the future. Phillip is quite Jovial - nice 'good ol boy' affect from Texas. Very casual. I went ahead and had the work done on outside Gazebo (More an open Ramada) that got attached to existing structure so we'll see how that goes. I prefer more detailed specifications on the build. I won't use him for additional structures attached to my home until I'm retired. I could attached a photo if my son helps me but not at this time. Want to say he di modify the slatting on top to preserve existing vines as requested. Very Happy about that spec. treatment."

"Bill did an excellent job of filling, sanding, and painting the columns, vigas, and latillas. For the wood under the portal where we wanted to maintain stain, he did a beautiful job of matching the wood and making the filled areas look natural. He also painted our ductwork and other metal components to color match the stucco, repairing the stucco in a few places along the way. Bill is extremely reliable, meticulous in his cleanup, and fairly priced. Our next door neighbors saw Bill's work and hired him for their project."
