"It was by sheer chance and luck that I ran into the owner of Reliable Tech, Angelo Marti, late one night at Home Depot. I was desperately, and I mean desperately, trying to find someone at Home Depot who knew what kind of a basic thermostat I should get for my 25 yr. old, gas boiler system. My basement heat was not turning on and I thought it might be a bad thermostat. No one at Home Depot could competently answer my question. Angelo Marti suddenly appeared in the aisle to ask the clerk a question too, and I saw that he was in a uniform with his name on a label, so I asked him if he was a plumber. He said he was. I asked him if he knew what thermostat I should get for my particular system. He said I should go to Dahl Plumbing in the morning and get a basic digital thermostat which Home Depot didn't have. That was the start of my relationship with Angelo Marti. Long story short, Angelo gave me his card when I asked if I could call him if replacing the thermostat didn't work. He said "sure" and believe me I did call because it wasn't just the thermostat I had to replace. To back track, I had my boiler serviced by another popular, SF plumbing company in June, after I just bought my house, so that when I went to fire up the heat at the beginning of winter all would work no problem. Well, it didn't, and I was frustrated because I needed to leave town soon for a month. The next day, on a Sat night at 7 pm, just coming from a grueling two day job of a radiant floor leak in a concrete slab, Angelo replaced the zone valve that was indeed stuck. Heat was restored to the basement. Since we had been pointing flashlights and headlamps everywhere around the boiler, he saw other things he didn't like aside from the past plumber having turned off the main water valve. He said to give the new zone valve a try but that the pressure valve may leak. Sure enough, the next day water was streaming from the drain pipe. I turned everything off, and again Angelo made it by a couple of days later to replace the subsequent items he thought would need replacing. I had already left on my trip, so I trusted him with the key to my place. Then we encountered another issue with the boiler turning on some times (when he was at the house), but not other times (when my friends would drop by to check on the heat and any leaking). So, Angelo had to come for a third time, again at night, and fortunately he had not turned on the light in the basement. After some sleuthing with me on the phone, we discovered that the boiler switch was hooked up to a light switch in the basement which had been on when he was there working, but turned off when he left. What a relief that was all it was and how typical Santa Fe is that?! I will have the boiler rewired when I return. I am very grateful to Angelo Marti at Reliable Tech for his patience and terrific attitude throughout what seemed like one thing after another going wrong and doing a true and fine job of getting my heat set up and running for the winter! "

"I spoke with Francis the owner to determine the best roofing system that would meet my needs. I have chemical sensitivities and I wanted the least toxic product that would satisfy my needs for a waterproof roof. Francis explained all of the options to me and suggested that Gaco had some products that I would be comfortable with. He explained exactly how the products would be applied and provided MSDS sheets on all of the products. All of the products used were very benign...I was thrilled! The workman who had to clean my old roof and apply the new product were on time, professional, and competent. One of the workmen provided me with photos of the completed work. They did a thorough job of cleaning up the worksite. I have some stucco work that needs to be done this Spring, and SF Stucco & Roofing will get the work!
