Darnold Plumbing was founded in 1983, we strive to offer each customer the highest quality craftsmanship to not only reach but exceed their highest expectations for all their plumbing and air conditioning needs.

"Called in the morning, within a couple of hours, a gentleman by the name of Tony showed up. This is a rental property and my problem was a brand new furnace that had been previously installed during the summer months and hadn't been tested. When tested, it would not turn off and it also started emitting strong fumes and my CO2 alarms started beeping immediately. Tony did his thing and left me the unit running, not triggering CO2 alarms and with the thermostat doing what it was supposed to. I am very happy with their service and will be calling again."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

The best way to reset this valve is to contact your utility provider to do so safely. If the pipes are damaged and you reset the valve anyway, it could lead to a gas leak. It’s important to call in a pro as soon as you can to reconnect your gas supply after an earthquake and ensure the device will work again the next time there’s a quake.

Safety steps include proper vent installation, connector tightness, and leak testing. A safe environment must be maintained throughout.

The cost to repair a gas leak is $120 to $250 on average, but it could be as costly as $5,000, depending on the leak location and severity.

For example, if you have drywall covering the source of the leak, you'll need to hire a contractor to replace the removed drywall. In addition, if the leak is underground, you'll need a contractor to excavate the ground to reach the gas line.

Local codes often mandate specific fittings, permits, and vent considerations for permitted function and safety, which are enforced by professionals.

Installing a gas line is no simple task. From start to finish, you’re looking at anywhere from six to 12 weeks to acquire the correct permits, dig a trench, and connect your appliances. Naturally, the longer the gas line, the longer it will take to complete. If your plumber needs to hire additional contractors to dig trenches and navigate around or remove obstacles, this could put you at the longer end of the timeframe.

Once the land is prepped and licenses acquired, installing the actual line may only take a few days to a few weeks, weather permitting.
