"Michael was prompt, honest and professional. I would highly tecommend him for all your electrical needs. He took his time making sure that all fixtures are working properly, and when one old wiring didn’t, he went to Home Depot just to find something to make it work. He’s not like other contractors who sugarcoat something just coz they think they’re the expert. Michael was very patient in explaining it to me in layman’s terms. He’s very dependable and very knowledgeable in his craft. Hire him in your next project and you’ll find out that everything that I said here is true. I know I will hire him again soon. Thanks Michael as you are a gem. You are a great asset to your field and I wish you the best of luck!"

"I would highly recommend Ken for electrical work. We had our full electrical panel replaced and service upgraded with him. Before we had it done, we had an issue with the main breaker repeatedly tripping- leaving us without power. He came out the same morning and did a quick fix to hold us over until permitting- we were not without power for long, thanks to him. The panel replacement and service upgrade was not a quick job, but he stayed late until it was finished and we couldn’t be happier with the quality. His prices are reasonable, as well. I will be calling him if we need an electrician in the future!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Willingboro, overusing extension cords, especially in homes with limited outlets, can strain your electrical system. Ignoring moisture problems, running high-wattage appliances for long periods, and blocking panel ventilation in small utility rooms all contribute to premature wear. Failing to maintain outdoor fixtures and using damaged cords—common with holiday lighting—can also reduce the lifespan of your electrical work and increase safety risks.

Helpful?

In Willingboro, panel upgrades typically take one to two days, while whole-house rewiring in ranch-style homes may require three to five days. Adding a new circuit generally takes four to eight hours, and GFCI outlet installation is usually completed within two to four hours. Outdoor lighting or generator hookups can take up to two days, with permit approval often adding one to two weeks before starting.

Helpful?

In Willingboro, common mistakes include skipping required permits, overloading outdated electrical panels, and using incorrect wire gauges when adding outlets. Homeowners also risk safety by mixing aluminum and copper wiring, neglecting to upgrade grounding during renovations, and improperly installing GFCI outlets—especially important in humid conditions. These missteps can lead to electrical hazards, costly repairs, and issues with home wiring reliability.

Helpful?

Electrical systems in Willingboro benefit from annual panel inspections to catch corrosion or loose connections. Test GFCI outlets monthly, clean outdoor fixtures to prevent moisture buildup, and replace surge protectors every three to five years. Change smoke detector batteries twice yearly, schedule professional inspections every five years for older homes, and regularly monitor aluminum wiring and backup generators for reliable electrical performance.

Helpful?

In Willingboro, older homes often need attention to main electrical panels, especially originals from the 1960s or 1970s. Kitchens may require extra circuits for modern appliances, and bathrooms often lack GFCI outlets. Basements with moisture issues, garages, outdoor systems, and HVAC connections are frequent trouble spots. Homes with aluminum wiring from the 1970s should be inspected for safety and possible upgrades.
