"So happy with my experience with DK Electrical. Contacted me quickly to arrange for an estimate and work was scheduled before they left my home after I accepted the price quote. Arrived for the job at the time they stated. They were professional and let me know status as they were completing the work. Coordinated the township inspection. I will definitely contact them again for electrical work."

Mainly, we have only done residential for family members and friends, but want to help other homeowners achieve their electrical needs as well. "Received $11000 project quote for a solar panel installation with 0% finance. The quote was attractive, and I decided to go with this company. Applied for 0% financing card and got approved for it. However, after receiving permits, the company changed the contract to 6% financing option. The company insisted that the contract was originally 6%. After much discussion, it provided me with a very ambiguous and small fine prints as part of the contract. The installation was done cheap. The guys used cheap plastic pipe to get the electrical work done and also made a hole in the roof to run the electrical line through. All of these works were done without discussing it with the owner. After receiving the payments, no help or guidance for setting up SREC. You get what you pay for. I regret that I chose this vendor for solar panel project."

"Scott from Integrated Electrical Solutions was timely, polite, communicative; he resolved the electrical problem within my budget. He diagnosed an electrical short circuit affecting 3 upstairs rooms. Faulty wiring caused by damaged contact of a wire was determined. Thank you Scott."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Delran, repeated breaker trips, burning odors from outlets, or warm switch plates signal the need for electrical repairs. A single flickering light often points to a faulty bulb or fixture. If you notice water near electrical components, address plumbing or drainage issues first. For intermittent power loss, confirm with your utility provider before calling an electrician to rule out external service problems.

Helpful?

Electrical maintenance in Delran should include inspecting outdoor outlets and covers each spring, testing GFCI outlets monthly, and vacuuming around electrical panels in the fall to reduce dust buildup. Pay extra attention to moisture-prone areas like basements. For homes older than 25 years, arrange annual professional inspections; for newer homes, every three to five years is recommended. After severe storms, always check for visible electrical damage.

Helpful?

The longevity of electrical work in Delran depends on using weather-resistant wiring and fittings, especially in damp basements or outdoor areas. Proper grounding is crucial due to the region’s soil composition. Adhering to current New Jersey codes and scheduling regular inspections are key. Hiring professionals familiar with Delran’s housing stock ensures upgrades are tailored to local construction styles and environmental conditions, maximizing both safety and durability.

Helpful?

In Delran, frequent mistakes include starting electrical projects without securing necessary permits, misinterpreting updated local electrical codes, and installing GFCI outlets in the wrong locations. Homeowners often neglect to weather-seal outdoor outlets, which is vital due to Delran’s climate. Overloading outdated circuits, skipping service panel upgrades for new appliances, and failing to check grounding in older homes are also common issues that can compromise safety and performance.

Helpful?

When planning electrical projects in Delran, review township permit requirements and check for HOA guidelines on exterior work. Since underground utilities are common, always schedule a utility mark-out before digging. If your property is near the Delaware River, consider flood-resistant electrical installations. Plan major upgrades for spring or fall to avoid weather extremes, and book contractors early, as local demand can spike during peak renovation seasons.
