"Just a few years ago, we hired Double D to remove all of the old bright yellow siding (40 years old) and remove both layers of old roofing. The goal was to replace the roof and figure out the best options for us regarding the siding. The owner came out, met with us, presented options and associated costs quite clearly. Ultimately, we choose a lovely shade of sage green siding and a gray roof. We could not be happier. The employees were polite and efficient. The work was done in a timely manner (less than two weeks) and still looks great. We had zero problems with Double D. I plan on using them again to update a section of the siding that had previously been covered by a back deck. IMPORTANT NOTE: My neighbors replaced their siding with another company even though we advised them that Double D’s pricing was spot on and extremely professional, with attention to detail. Five months after their siding was installed, huge swaths of siding fell off! And their contractor was no where to be found. That’s when they asked for Double D! You will not regret utilizing Double D and will appreciate the variety of services available."

"Gil and his crew at Goias are amazing to work with. Each crew is so hard working and perform quality work, paying attention to detail. Gil is so honest and fair with his suggestions and pricing. He does not try to add things on to bump up the price and he even made suggestions and offered insight on some modifications he would suggest to be better for us. We used Goias last year for tile and concrete removal and a new floor install in the kitchen, living and dining rooms and the workmanship was so incredible, that they were the first call we made this year when we had a few new projects that needed to be done. Jose and his crew started with the painting. They spackled, sanded, primed and painted stairways, hallways, all bedroom doors, the kitchen, living and dining rooms & one bathroom including the ceilings and trim. They did an exceptional job and everything looks perfect. It is the best the walls have ever looked! Next came Thiago. He removed the old railings and installed new beautiful handrails and railing on the front porch. He took his time, meticulously installing everything perfectly. What a face-lift this was for the porch and it looks like a different porch! Incredible! Then Jose came with his landscaping crew. They removed concrete, retaining walls and a couple of tons of stone along with old flower beds and tree/bush stumps. They installed two new retaining walls, new flower beds, a new mailbox post and pavers all along the front of the house and walkway. When they were seeding the lawn they even went above and beyond filling in other areas of my lawn and seeding those areas as well even though they weren't at the spot the work was done. I let Jose pick the plants and he did an incredible job selecting beautiful, low maintenance ones at my request. Every single crew cleaned up when they left each day and left my home in immaculate condition. They were also very careful with opening the doors and the gates making certain to keep my dogs safely in the house or yard. I have referred Goias to everyone that needs a solid contractor as I know they produce quality work, are fair in pricing and are very responsive. It is so stressful to put your trust in a company, but I promise, Gil will live up to and then exceed your expectations. Thank you Gil for taking pride in your company! Concrete countertops can last a lifetime with proper maintenance. That includes regular resealing, waxing, and repairing any chips or cracks. At a minimum, they should last 20 years before major issues occur or performance drastically declines. The longevity of concrete countertops is a major reason people add them to their kitchens. It also makes up for the high cost of installation and added maintenance.

Quartz can be slightly cheaper than granite, but it depends on the grade of the material. For instance, a high-grade quartz could be more expensive than a low-grade granite. The price of granite can tick higher because it requires sealing, while quartz does not, and it’s also slightly more difficult to install, increasing labor costs.

You can make laminate counters look like marble by following the steps above. However, the condition of the laminate may limit the final results. For example, if the laminate is splitting at the corners or has sharp edges, the epoxy may not work or mimic natural marble as well.

Granite countertops must be sealed every 12 to 18 months, though some sealants can last for five to 10 years. You can check whether your granite countertops need sealing by applying a drop of water in an inconspicuous area and waiting 15 minutes to see if the water darkens the countertop. If it does, the countertop needs sealing; if not, you can hold off on resealing for now.

Engineered stone countertops range in price between $60 and $200 per square foot. The three main types are quartz, recycled glass, and sintered stone. The most affordable is sintered stone, which is ideal for outdoor kitchens and costs $60 to $100 per square foot.

Recycled glass countertops fall in the middle at $65 to $140 per square foot and offer a very distinct look. Meanwhile, quartz counters are on the higher end of the price range at $50 to $200 per square foot. Popular quartz options mimic the look of natural stones like marble and granite.
