"Ed was very punctual and courteous. When he came, he thought the service was only for the kitchen countertops.  I told him that I mentioned both areas when I was on the phone with the company scheduling my appointment.  He quickly agreed to do both without any fuss.  He did a great job, explained things well and made some good recommendations.  He also quickly followed up with a quote for a fix that we need to do on the kitchen countertops.  Overall, great service provider and I would definitely use them again.

Small jobs welcome

"Very professional start to finish. Received a quick detailed estimate, and scheduling and service were also very promptà ¢à  à ¦speedy in fact. Our countertops look fabulous, exceeding expectations. Ità ¢à  à  s difficult to find someone to do this work, and I had my doubts about using a company I found on the internet. But we are so glad we took the chance on Surface Link because they did a perfect job. It is Hard to find a contractor we can say that about todayà ¢à  à ¦. We are often disappointed. Not with this company. Or this technician (Steve ) who is a pro at this. Time will tell, but as of today, we are thrilled."

"I was in constant contact with them,by phone, before  the installation. I was nervous about what I had chosen and was invited to take my time and go to the showroom to see it on a larger scale. Measuring day and day of installation the crew were prompt, very clean, very professional. Everything was covered during installation and they happily answered any questions I had.  There was a very small problem with one of the countertops fitting correctly. It was immediately taken care of and a new countertop piece was made and installed within a few days.  My kitchen is absolutely beautiful!  They were so easy to work with and very accommodating.  I highly recommend Granite Transformations in Berlin NJ."

"tile work was excellent. Put in a nice French door for us also... business owner did a good job designing a stylish kitchen for us and sizing the cabinets and quartz countertops in a good quality product. Workers had good personalities and many years of experience and were talented and respectful and explained any difficulties or workarounds. Some detail work left for the homeowner... a few rough edges. overall this is a good crew to work with."

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

While epoxy resin is generally durable, it is not scratch-proof. Some sources state it is highly resistant to scratches from minor sources, while others note it can scratch and chip easily from sharper or heavier items. To prevent damage, always use a cutting board and avoid sliding heavy or rough-bottomed objects across the surface. If a scratch does occur, be aware that epoxy can be difficult to repair by sanding, often requiring an orbital sander for effective results.

Granite is one of the most popular options for countertops, and most homeowners believe that granite countertops are worth the money. Granite is more affordable than marble and quartz, and provides outstanding durability and longevity. Granite countertops are also desirable because they are entirely unique; unlike some other countertop materials, your granite slab won’t be identical to any others. Granite is porous, which means it has the potential to stain if you don’t clean up spills quickly, but the general durability and relatively low cost make it well worth the investment.

Marble is a porous natural stone that needs sealant to minimize staining. Leaving this type of countertop material sealant-free means any liquids left on the surface will quickly absorb into the stone, discoloring it and dulling the sheen. Dark or acidic liquids, like red wine, coffee, and lemon, are the worst culprits.

Labor plays a significant role in the installation of butcher block countertops. Depending on who you hire, your location, the customization level of the project, and whether the wood is already finished, you may pay a professional between $10 and $150 per square foot to install a butcher block countertop. On average, expect the per-hour price to run between $60 and $100.

There are several significant differences between laminate and quartz countertops. Quartz is much pricier than laminate but can last for decades, while laminate lasts around 15 years. Laminate can’t be repaired or resealed and is easier to damage than quartz, which can be repaired. Both quartz and laminate are prone to heat damage. Usually, the choice comes down to your budget.
