"Al arrived on time, and was friendly . He measured the apartment, while discussing everything included in the job. His team showed up the next morning, and got started. They went above and beyond, painted more surfaces than I expected & it looked neat & clean. By day 2, everything was finished, including the ceilings & trim! I’d definitely hire them again."

"After talking to several painters, I hired A+  to strip wallpaper and paint several rooms in my house in preparation for resale. The service, price and quality of workmanship was exceptional. The work needed presented a few special challenges -- restoring damaged wall surfaces and matching discontinued paint colors -- but the time and attention  was given to overcome the obstacles and get the job done right. I would not hesitate to use this provider again.

"J&J Walltex did a great job with the painting of all the rooms inside my house and the outside siding of my house. They helped me pick colors that were neutral, but looked great. They were professional and completed the job quickly."

"He is very professional. I would definitely recommend him. The only thing I can say is that he doesn't speak fluent English but we were still communicating very well. Everything was finished on time. He was always answering the phone when I had questions which is important for me because I've had people who would disappear. He never did that. He did a perfect job. There is nothing that I can complaint about, absolutely zero."

",.Dennis is a passionate detailed and meticulous craftsman who responded to us in a quick and punctual manner. He re tiled our
kitchen floor and took the time to plan the installation in an optimum and aesthetically pleasing manner.  In the bathroom he took out an existing tile floor, and boxed all of the refuse in a clean manner.  Upon completing this task he laid the tile in what he felt would be the most efficient and aesthetic manner.
We needed 2 sliding doors framed and built since the openings were not of a standard measurement.  We spoke frequently about those options which were available.  Through his knowledge and counsel he was able to complete this task in a manner that was both economical, functional, and attractive.
What impressed me about Professional Touch of Cape May was his punctuality, professional skills, attention to detail, and creative problem solving skills.  It was a pleasure to do business with a craftsman who was meticulous, and left the areas he worked in cleaner than when he started.  If you want an energetic,  first class craftsman, who will treat your job as though he was doing it for himself than you will be extremely pleased with the work performed by Professional Touch.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Hiring a professional wallpaper hanger is usually a worthwhile idea because, while the application of wallpaper itself is easy, getting the finished product to look good is complicated and takes a lot of practice and patience. A professional wallpaper hanger will not only be able to hang your wallpaper seamlessly, but they will also get an even application of wallpaper paste to avoid bubbling and imperfections immediately and over time. Plus, they can provide their professional opinion on whether to remove or wallpaper over an existing layer of wallpaper.

If you need a stronger magnetic surface, or you need to use a different type of paint in the room (like waterproof paint in a damp basement), there are other accessible options. You could fit a steel panel over the wall, try magnetic wallpaper, or apply chalk paint instead.

If you want an inexpensive shortcut, hang a pinboard or chalkboard on your wall. These removable options are ideal if you’re a renter who can’t repaint or plan to move in the near future.

Yes, you can apply peel-and-stick wallpaper over wood paneling, but it requires significant preparation for a good result. Peel-and-stick wallpaper has a weaker adhesive than traditional wallpaper and works best on smooth, non-textured surfaces like painted or primed drywall. Because wood paneling is often textured with grooves, any flaws in the underlying surface will likely be visible after application. To prepare the paneling, you must ensure the surface is free of cracks, holes, and protrusions by filling any indentations and sanding rough spots to create a smooth surface. An alternative is to remove the paneling and apply the wallpaper directly to the underlying drywall or plaster, provided it is in good condition.

The color of the paint, its opacity, and the depth of the texture on the paper all affect how many coats of paint you need to apply to paintable wallpaper. You'll need at least two coats of paint to ensure even coverage. Don’t be surprised if you need to apply three coats if the embossing is very deep or if you use a dark color.

Common mistakes when finishing basement walls include neglecting proper insulation, insufficient moisture management, and poor ventilation. Not addressing these issues can lead to mold growth, water damage, and discomfort. Additionally, inadequate planning, improper framing, and rushing the project can result in subpar outcomes.

It's essential to follow best practices, seek professional guidance if needed, and prioritize thoroughness and attention to detail.
