"Everything was great! From the moment Donald's cleaning greeted me at the door, they were the utmost professionals. They kept everything clear with me and made sure to keep everything transparent with how they priced everything. The price was great for me considering the work that needed to be done! I didn't think I could be happier but once I saw the finished work they did, they earned themselves and a yearly client. All my Pressure Washing needs will be taken care by Donald's Cleaning Services. I can't recommend them enough!"

"We had a great experience! We just moved into a new home, and we needed a DEEP cleaning after having redone the floors and painted the walls. The team was extremely thorough and efficient - it now truly feels like we are "at home" in our new house. Thank you!!"

"Window and screen cleaning was okay; powerwashing the front and back decks was okay. Overall, price was higher for window/screen cleaning than for deck powerwashing, so it kinda balanced out. However, powerwashing results were not that great. I'll give them a 2nd chance."

"I had 5 rooms of carpet cleaned. After he was done cleaning them I realized I waited way too long to have them cleaned. There was such a huge difference in appearance after he was done. Very happy how it all came out looking! In 2 weeks Evolution will be back to clean my upholstery which Iâ m super excited about!"

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

While eco-friendly decking, also called composite decking, is a win for the environment because it consists of recycled materials, it has trade-offs. These sustainable options often come with steeper price tags, lack natural wood's warm look, and can become uncomfortably hot under full sun. Some composite materials can also become slick when wet, posing a potential hazard.

Yes, pressure washing a wood deck can be a good idea as it effectively lifts ingrained dirt, mold, and mildew, improving the deck's appearance and longevity. However, it must be done carefully, as it's easy to damage the wood, especially softwoods. To pressure wash safely, use a lower pressure setting and a wide, 40-degree fan pattern nozzle (often white). Keep the nozzle at least a foot away from the wood surface and maintain constant motion, avoiding hovering in one spot to prevent gouging.

A deck doesn’t have to be perfectly level. Many pros even recommend a gentle slope to ensure proper drainage and increase longevity. The ideal gentle slope is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch per foot away from the property, leading water away from the home to prevent pooling and reduce the risk of damage. It also minimizes rot, mold, and other moisture-related problems.

There are ways to clean your deck to help maintain a clean appearance. You can easily remove surface-level dirt and grime by wetting your deck with a hose and doing a quick scrub with store-bought deck cleaner monthly.

However, investing in professional deck cleaning services near you at least twice a year is worth it. This service saves you time and ensures that your deck will avoid accidentally becoming scratched by blasting the pressure washer at the wrong angle.

It’s important to make sure the wood on a new deck is properly seasoned. Seasoning a deck is simple: Once you build it (or have a pro do so), just leave it alone so it can acclimate to the environment. If you don’t give the deck proper seasoning time before staining, the stain can lock in any lingering moisture and cause mold, rot, and other moisture issues down the road. Give the wood at least four to eight weeks to season before you stain.
