"I could not be happier with Greg Burz Stucco & Stone LLC. Greg brings a lot of passion, positivity and an eye for detail on the projects he works on. Further, I completely appreciated Greg’s solution-driven approach, without compromising quality with regards to the stucco project on my home. Perhaps, most importantly, he is a pleasure to work with!"

Customers say: True professional

"Perfectly. Sergio, one of Rich Lettorale's craftsmen, prepared the job one day (patching, sanding, etc.) and completed it in a second day. Very nice work, prompt service and reasonable prices. I have used North Jersey Specialists before and highly recommend this company."

"I hired Angelo for several projects. Gutter repair, roof repair, stairway repair, wall repair, gate installation and, the largest, stucco repair. Angelo is professional, responsive, reliable, honest, and takes pride in his work. I was also impressed because three of the projects: the gutter, the roof, and the stucco repair were difficult and dangerous jobs. Our house is highly elevated, so we have a hard time finding people brave enough to work on our house. We looked for months before we found Jersey Pro. Angelo took on all of our projects, and did an outstanding job on all of them. Angelo makes you feel at ease. He is not pushy, he explains everything well, gives a fair price, and he is just a very nice person. I will definitely hire Angelo again for any and all additional projects."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

You should aim to let stucco dry for at least 48 hours before it rains. While misting new stucco and keeping it moderately moist is important for strength and longevity, uncontrolled exposure to rain can lead to weak stucco that doesn’t bond properly. Rain can also affect the stucco finish and the color unevenly, leaving you with less appealing siding.

Depending on the amount of damage, a stucco repair professional can repair your stucco siding in four to 12 hours. If you only have a few small cracks, that repair could take as little as one to two hours to repair. In contrast, if you have an extensive fix, like foundation or chimney repair, you can expect the process to take a bit longer. Always discuss your project expectations with your stucco repair expert.

Stucco is durable, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance, making it a popular choice for exterior finishes.

A standard drill will work just fine if you’re drilling small holes, and only a few of them. But anything with a diameter larger than 3/8 inch is best done with a hammer drill, since it is stronger, faster, and also makes your drill bits last longer. While you don’t absolutely need a hammer drill for stucco, it is a worthy investment if you think you might drill more holes down the road.

One of the most significant downsides to stucco is the installation cost, which is higher than that of many other siding options because getting it to look clean and professional is a labor-intensive process. Stucco can also absorb water, making it an unsuitable option for siding in areas that see excessive rainfall. Finally, stucco can crack and chip, especially in extreme weather, and repairs are not only challenging and require help from a professional who does stucco, but can get expensive.
