"I needed a new heater for my home sauna. I found Cielo Wellness on Angie’s. They did a great job at a fair price. Not only did they install the heater professionally, they also refurbished my sauna with an oil stain to make it looking fresh. I highly recommend them. Tom Q Manhasset NY"

"I called to hire Penguin and have them come to my home for a service call. I spoke with Larry and explained the issues I was having. He offered to come out for service call but suggested I try a few DIY things first. For several days I would try something he suggested, and then then call back to speak with Larry about what, if anything, changed. Each time he would spend whatever time on the phone with me that I needed, evaluating what I told him and explaining what to do next. And at the end of each call he would insist that I call him back for an update. Eventually with his expert guidance, I found multiple sources of air leaks in the system and was able to repair them myself. It ended up being a few gasket leaks and a worn out drain plug on the motor housing, not a leak in an underground pipe or fitting that would have required ripping up a new paver pool deck we had installed last year. Not only did Larry save me the expense of a service call and tons of potential work, he taught me a bunch of new ways to diagnose and address future issues. I feel like I went to pool school and Larry was my favorite professor. The level of customer service Larry offered was absolutely outstanding. I did not actually 'hire' Penguin, but if I or anyone else I know needs a pool installation or repair service in the future, I know EXACTLY who I'll be calling. Larry alone earned Penguin a loyal customer for life and he didn't even have to get a finger dirty. My sincere gratitude to Larry and Bravo Penguin!!!!"

"The estimate for the new circuit installation was done promptly and on-time. The work was performed on the date scheduled. John Schultz was professional, courteous and thorough.
Getting anything scheduled and completed the week of the Christmas holiday can be challenging if not impossible no matter what the task may be, but the work was completed without delay or complication at a very fair price. Not only would I not hesitate to hire Schultz Bros Electric for future electrical work, but my wife and I already plan on just that for other projects this Spring.

Our thanks to John for the prompt and thorough work performed!

"Okay, I know I did not include an "Approximate cost of service" but you know what (?) its nobody's business. I will say, as indicated below, the cost was excellent.
Last year, I had my in-ground oil tank removed (this was done by a different contractor). So, you can imagine my back yard was trashed. This year, I contacted several landscapers to look at the job, and provide an estimate.
Craig, the owner of Creative Images Landscaping, came to my home as we had scheduled, evaluated the entire job and provided me the cost of the job and when he could start even before he left. His cost was the best we had received from several landscapers, and as I was traveling out of state, his willingness to work within our schedule was very helpful.
On the day and time he said his crew would be there, they were there! They had the equipment and the right people to strip off the poor soil used when the tank was removed, add new top soil to the correct height, install new drainage, cut down and remove an old tree, and lay out sod. All done the same day!
Not only did he have the right people and equipment to do the job, EVERYTHING was top quality, the top soil, drainage pipe, and especially the sod.
AND, the price he gave me at the start of the job, was the final cost of the job.
MY BACKYARD HAS NEVER LOOKED BETTER. The lawn now is a deep green, very healthy as there are no weeds or dandelions, or anything else growing except the grass (we have even had to cut it three times already.
The grass is really GREAT, and we have received many compliments on its appearance.
If you are looking for a landscaper, you have to do your own comparisons, make your own decisions, but based on my experience you really should at least include Creative Images Landscaping in your search.
I highly recommend them based on their professionalism, timeliness, quality, and cost, and will use their services the next time I have some landscaping to do.

"Dave arrived at the property on time and from the start I appreciated his professionalism.  He was very knowledgeable about the home's construction and immediately noticed safety hazards that I had overlooked upon my own, limited, cursory inspection.  None of the items he pointed out were deal-breakers, but before we went into final contract I was able to get the Sellers to repair these deficiencies (loose front pavers and handrails, leaking basement sink, uneven pavers around the pool, etc.).  He indicated which parts of the outdoor backyard wooden deck were subject to wood-rot and he also pointed out parts of the roof that might need a professional roofer to later address.  He pointed out that the water heater was ending it's useful life (over ten years old) and his concerns about the electric panel box (wattage input and wiring) were later addressed by the Seller to my satisfaction.  The professionals he brought in for the septic tank inspection utilized fiber optics, permitting a full examination of the septic tank, verifying that a new septic system had indeed been installed, correctly, as the Seller had asserted.  From the darkest corner of the basement to the dimly lighted attic, Dave gave valuable insights as to the construction-quality of the house.  I was very satisfied with his thorough report and the reports of the other inspectors.  Without reservation, I recommend Dave Polo & Associates very much!"

"A little bit of a back story, my basement flooded on Christmas, during a storm a couple of years ago. I had to pay a company to install french drains inside the basement to avoid another flooding. Long story short, 12 thousand dollars later, I was left with the perimeter of my basement lower than the original floor level. It took me a while to save for a renovation but when I was ready I needed a jack of all trades with great attention to detail. I hired Khris to level out my floors and install luxury vinyl planks throughout. My basement finally looks and feels amazing! He wasn’t annoyed at all of my questions or me watching him do the installation (which I really appreciated). He went above and beyond to make sure I felt informed, and the end results reflect his knowledge and work ethic. I had him move a light switch, prime and paint all of the new drywall I had installed shortly after the flood, and few quick jobs around the house. He also installed my baseboards! Money well spent! I appreciate his professionalism and how well informed I felt throughout this process. After going through the flood last thing I needed was a janky job. 1000% recommended Simpson Home Solutions."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

A home sauna may be considered a luxury item by some homebuyers, which can provide a good return on investment. However, whether it increases your home's value ultimately depends on the buyer, as some may not want to take on the extra costs and maintenance associated with heating and upkeep.
