"Misael Omana, owner of CFI Home Improvement was on time, with in the exact price quoted. He was respectful to my property and clean and tidy. His spackling and painting skills are outstanding! My house ceilings had not been painted for 22 years and he made them look brand new. Misael also replaced an outside storm door, nothing is straight in my 100 year old home, he made the door fit correctly and it seals wonderfully. I highly recommend his work!"

"Everyone at Kitchen Magic was professional and extremely helpful throughout the entire refacing process. The sales rep recommended adding elements that made the design even more functional and attractive. Ziggy performed the work and did an amazing job! He was on time every day and left my kitchen clean and neat every night. He has an incredible eye for detail and did flawless work. One of the cabinet doors came nicked. Kitchen Magic quickly sent a replacement door and another installer out to hang it for me. Overall, it was a stress-free process, and I’m very pleased with how my cabinets look now."

Customers say: Terrific value

"Working with Christina and Daniele was an absolute joy. We were pushing out this powder room renovation because we just couldn't face the noise, dirt and the hassle of dealing with contractors. If we had know Puglisi Renovations earlier, the powder room would have been done 2 years ago. We loved that this is a family-owned and -operated business which means that they take ownership of the project and do everything to make it work. When we met Christina (who looked at the job at hand and provided the estimate) we had the feeling we were in very good hands and when we Daniele (her husband, who would do the job and learned his amazing craft back in Italy) we knew we would work with them. The result proves that we made the right decision. After 4.5 days of work (removing/replacing the wainscoting, tile floor, toilet, sink, fixtures, light and also adding insulation to our outside walls), our powder room looks just amazing. Daniele worked very focused and quietly (much appreciated as I had to work from home during the project), he had great ideas and provided a meticulous job. Throughout the whole project both Daniele and Christina communicated very well (this is where many contractors fail), which ensured that we got exactly what we wanted - no misunderstandings, no misinterpretations, no fixes needed. We are very pleased, happy to highly recommend Puglisi Renovations and would hire them back in a heartbeat."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can remove a bathtub yourself if you have previous DIY experience and basic plumbing knowledge. You should have at least one other person help you if you approach this project as a DIY. However, hiring a plumber or bathroom remodeling pro can prevent accidental damage from demolition or water leakage.

The water supply lines run underneath the bathtub. These two pipes deliver cold and hot water to the bathtub—the cold water comes from the main water supply, and the hot water comes from the water heater. The pipes are made from copper, cream-colored plastic CPVC, or red and blue PEX tubing.

Technically, yes, you can put a shower on a Roman tub, but it's not common. The vast majority of Roman tubs are standalone models. Adding a shower would involve installing a ceiling-mounted curtain rod or a custom glass enclosure, as well as redoing the plumbing, making it neither easy nor budget-friendly.

While they’re heavier than their counterparts, cast-iron tubs are very simple to maintain. They have no seams and are durable, making them the easiest tub to maintain. While fiberglass and acrylic tubs are also relatively simple to maintain, they often have seams, making maintenance a little more difficult.

The cost of installing a new bathtub is considerably more expensive than refinishing an existing one, so if you’re looking to upgrade your tub on a budget, you might be better off refinishing it for now. Additionally, if your tub has only minor damage, refinishing it will make it look new again without the extra demolition and time.
