"I needed a last minute junk removal company when I moved office locations on 5/28/26 and I chose Junk Take Away. I can't say enough good from the start to the end. It started with Kelly calling me to set up the date and time and was followed by Eddie and his buddy removing everything in a timely manner, they cleaned up after themselves and they were very respectful young men. I will definitely be using Eddie and his team again in the future."

"Faced with not one, but two overflowing attics need to be cleaned out, I fortunately found junk Takeaway to do the job. Eddie and his buddy were a machine for three hours straight, going up and attic stairs, up and down steps, up and down driveways and ultimately to dump into the large container all the crap I had accumulated over the years. They did a fabulous job and left my attics spotless and clean. No job is too small nor too big for these guys."

"Nick is a very professional gentleman. He gets the job done in a timely manner and is very thorough. He makes sure you are satisfied with the job before he leaves and keeps in contact with you on arrival times and any other concerns you may have. I definitely recommend using him anytime you need something done."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

When a surface that contains lead dust is disturbed, the dust can float about in the air for roughly an hour before settling again. Since you cannot see the dust, it is important always to wear protective gear when working with any materials that may contain lead paint and to keep children, pets, and others away from the area for as long as possible

Hazardous waste is waste that poses a threat to human or environmental health. This generally refers to waste that is flammable, corrosive, toxic, or reactive. To confirm if the waste you need to remove is considered hazardous waste, contact your local hazardous waste facility.

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

If lead is detected in a property, steps should include arranging for professional removal or containment, notifying all occupants, and implementing interim safety measures to reduce exposure.

Disposing of old paint, bleach, oil, and fertilizer should be handled by a company that specializes in this kind of waste. Many private junk removal companies do not dispose of these items. Because these materials are hazardous to the environment and dangerous to handle or dispose of improperly, you should confirm with your local municipality about places to take hazardous materials for safe disposal.
