"Wow. Waterworks. Where to begin. My family and I moved here from Washington State in 2019. We have a 100 year old house, and right before COVID my sewer pipes had issues and there was raw sewage filling my basement. I called my home warranty, Cinch, and they attached me to Waterworks. Bobby came out, assessed the damage, and they got to work. Then the guy running the operation, Joe, came on the scene. My basement freezer was unplugged, ruining a few hundred bucks worth of meat. I went out one day, smiled, asked if I could get them anything–usually that means something to drink, water. Joe said “Yeah, how ‘bout some Hoagies?” I thought it was a joke, but he was dead serious. Now if I say no, I’m the jerk. So lunch cost me 200 bucks. The day they were digging the trench to replace the pipe it was pouring. But they dug it anyway, destroying my whole yard. Joe said, don’t worry, lay some sod down–it’ll be cheap. They gave me options for run off to go to the curb–the dollar signs were already out of control. I ask what’s the cheapest, and he tells me to run it out the side for it to just go down to the street. At this point, being new to all this, that sounded fine. It wasn’t–it flooded my neighbor’s driveway every day. I call, Joe tells me to just bypass it so water goes out with the sewage. What I didn’t know was that it was illegal. To top it all off, the cleanout was put, sticking up, in the middle of my dirt yard–not close to the house, where it should have gone. He said not to worry, they’d cut it back in the spring and I could put a pond over it or bushes or something. Then it came time to get Cinch to pay me three of the TEN THOUSAND it cost me for the job. I had to nag and nag and nag before he said he was on the phone with them for hours, but he had made sure to get me the best price. The check, he said, would come to him and I could come pick it up there, but he’d have to charge me for billable hours. I call Cinch, they said they cut the check immediately and it would come to my house in a few days. I called good ‘ole Joe and called him on it. He said he thought I’d just want to tip him for such a bang up job they did, A few years roll by–I had the pipe cut back, ate the rest of the costs or did things myself. Years go by. 2023. I had to call about a different issue, and I was sent to Waterworks again. I lost it. I talked to the new manager/owner, can’t remember her name.. Said Joe was out, she was horrified, wanted to make it right, and maybe I’d want to give them a good review when all was said and done. Here’s what ‘right’ looked like: They did everything they were supposed to, but they would run a new pipe to the street. They would do it for a discounted grand. Again, lost it–I shouldn’t have to pay a dime. I had a friend, a contractor, come over and look after I told him about it. The pipe from basement to street is already there. There were leaves covering it. Now I want to sell the house, and I still have to deal with this. Yeah, they sure made everything right. If I could go negative, I would."

We are a locally owned small family business dedicated to providing the utmost quality in product, performance and professionalism in the servicing, repair and installation of all of your Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning needs.

"Unreachable, Broken Promises, Subpar Work I hired Pat from Grace Mechanical through my contractor last year for plumbing work. Despite having a clear scope and agreement, the contractor's delays meant that one item was left incomplete. We paid approximately $5k for the services rendered and agreed to complete the remaining item this summer. While most of the work was satisfactory, Pat failed to properly seal my sink drainage during a conversion from two drains to one. As a result, water and food shoot up from the drain when I use the garbage disposal. This year, I've reached out to Pat almost daily via call or text for over a month. He rarely answers the phone and occasionally responds with vague promises to call back, which he never fulfills. He contacted me once, stating he needed to check his calendar and would call back to schedule a time. That was weeks ago, and I haven't heard from him since. I've attached proof of the shoddy sink drain work and examples of the unprofessional communication I've experienced. As a paying client, this treatment is unacceptable and highly unprofessional."

Gas Leak Repair questions, answered by experts

While the line can't be removed, a pro can place a cap on the end to stop leaks. Contact a pro for a service call and speak with them about the related costs of either capping or removing the line altogether. Capping a gas line will cost between $75 and $150 while removing it will start at $250.

Before you hire a natural gas plumber, it’s a good idea to get quotes from multiple pros to find the best value. When speaking with prospective plumbers, ask them if they’re licensed to work with gas lines, what precautions they take to ensure safety during the project, and how to handle an emergency if there’s a leak after the job. You may also want to know about warranties or guarantees, additional costs, how to prep your home, and if you’ll need to relight your pilot lights.

Not all gas fireplaces need a chimney. If you install a ventless gas fireplace, it will release low levels of combustion byproducts back into your living space (instead of pushing them outside through a chimney or vent). Ventless fireplaces burn fuel efficiently, so the emissions are minimal—but they could bother people with allergies or respiratory issues.

If you suspect a broken gas line in your home, turn the gas off at the mains and call a nearby emergency plumber. Don't attempt to fix it yourself, and don't use anything that could cause a flame or a spark. Your pro has the tools and experience to safely repair the gas line.

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.
