"Contacted Master Attic via Angi and Alex, the technician came to evaluate our attic and crawl space (2 separate spaces in our house). We heard critter noises and our upstairs was hot in the summer. The insulation was original to the ~30 year old house, so we know it's about time to get it done. Alex checked both spaces and showed us photos of problem areas. We have an estimate and Alex explained the details of the work involved. The team came within the week (we lucked out to take the spot of a cancellation), and everything was done as expected. There was a lot of work to remove old insulations, vacuum all debris, sanitize the space, seal all air gaps, install baffles, rodent proof, and install new insulation. The work was completed in around 6 hours, the spaces are now clean and tidy - quite unbelievable given how they were before. We went for the heavier insulation which is reflected in the project cost."

"The job was very well done. Gustavo and his crew were EXCELLENT. Dealing with the project Manager Taylor was EXCELLENT. One of a kind company. A unique feature that was used for installation was the inclusion of BOTH Sanford insulation and housewrap. I have not had another contractor offer me both of those. It’s always either one or the other. Home Genius is backed by the better business bureau and is a James Hardie certified installer for those looking for one."

"Anthony Nastasi, hired by me to rebuild our decaying bay window, did a terrific job. When he came out to survey our prospective job, he listened closely to what we wanted, took notes, did measurements, and made suggestions. Later that day he sent my a proposal, detailing the materials and total cost of the project. Ultimately, the final cost was only about $300 more as additional material was needed. Mr. Nastasi worked a full day each day he was here. He also was honest and direct - he told me when he would arrive in morning, and he did. He told me when he had to complete another job so he might have to leave early or miss a day. Many Subs aren't professional enough to simply tell the truth. He always did. I am extremely happy with the quality of the work he did, the time frame in which he completed the job and, most importantly, how it looks. I would unequivocally recommend Anthony Nastasi to anyone. "Armor Insulation and More was timely, courteous, and efficient throughout the entire process. The owner went out of his way to make sure that I understood exactly the services I was to be receiving, and his team was nothing but respectful and left the house as clean as it was when they arrived. I would feel more than comfortable recommending them to family and friends."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Without a doubt, insulating a garage door is a surefire way to make your home more energy efficient. Not only does insulating your garage door reduce your electric bills, but it also helps protect your valuables inside your garage, all while making for a quieter interior space.

In regions that drop below 0 degrees Fahrenheit, your car's battery is at risk of malfunctioning in a garage that drops dangerously low. So, homeowners who reside in extremely cold climates can especially benefit from insulating their garages.

While there are many different kinds of insulation, spray foam, blown-in, foam board, and batt and roll are the four types you’re most likely to see. That doesn’t mean they’re alike, though. Each one varies drastically in terms of cost, materials used, and how they’re installed—not to mention, how well they limit heat transfer.

The most affordable way to insulate a garage involves choosing cost-effective materials like fiberglass, which comes in batts or rolls and is relatively easy to install. You can often install this type of insulation without needing to add drywall, which helps reduce costs. While a DIY approach might seem cheapest, hiring a professional installer can be highly cost-effective. Experts can accurately determine your garage's specific insulation needs and ensure the best results for your investment, often using batt insulation for the bulk of the project.

Yes, crawl space insulation is worth it if installed correctly. Installing insulation in your crawl space will improve the air quality, help stabilize your home's temperature, lower your energy bills, and prevent pests from entering your home. Though you’ll pay more to install insulation initially, the savings you get from installing insulation can help offset those initial costs over time.

As long as a licensed professional installs your gas lines, you don’t have to do anything extra to prepare for cold weather. If there are pipes that require a wrap, your installer should have done it for you already. If you want to be absolutely sure your gas system is good to go for winter, the best option is to schedule a gas line inspection.
