But when the skylight and flashing were removed, Top Royal discovered all the plywood around it was rotted because the existing shingles had been installed wrong. They even offered to stick to fixing the damaged part of the roof. But they were honest that the original quote was ballooning because of the wood work now required. There were small little extras that they didnâ t do - for example replacing the skylights made a mess inside the house that they didnâ t offer to come in and clean.
