As it turned out, they were able to arrive early and they called to see if that would work for me. It did, and Melvin 'Mel' arrived about 30 minutes ahead of the original window. ?? Mel introduced himself and donned his cloth booties so he didn't track any dirt into my home. He then inquired about, examined, and diagnosed the issue, went over the options and we agreed on the cost. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and really informative! During the inspection, he showed me several helpful homeowner tips as we passed various parts of my plumbing system. He prepped the work areas to protect my wood floors and went back to the truck for the required tools (taking off and replacing the cloth booties). ? I am pretty much bald, so I felt vindicated that it wasn't *my* hair! ? After checking at the cleanout that all the impacted drains were clear, Mel reseated the toilet, set his equipment on the tarp in the hallway, and wiped down the walls (even though the marks were from *my* attempts to fix the clog earlier in the week). ? Once his tools were loaded on the truck, Mel took a 'completion' photo of the powder room where the snake work was done and the outside cleanout where we checked the drains. I wrote a check, signed the electronic 'paperwork', and Mel wished me a great weekend - - which it will be now that I don't have to spend it trying to clear a drain clog that obviously required a pro!
