We used Vincenzo to seal two new bathrooms of marble. He thoroughly cleaned both bathrooms and sealed them. He was at my home for awhile and was very pleasant. We will hire him again next year and for our two upcoming bathrooms. Excellent. We have already referred him to our contractor as well.

They are not responsive. They charge $150 to come out and look even though it's their product. I was unhappy with the plumbing part of the installation. They are very hard to communicate with. During the installation they would cut the granite instead of the molding. I would not recommend them.

They were pleasant and patient. We looked at the Monroe showroom. We also one day drove to Brookfield were they let us have larger samples from the scrap pile. In the end we went with a quartz they didn't carry, but if we had chosen granite we ould have used LaPietra.

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. For example, it’s much better to use unglazed tiles because glazed tiles are more resistant to cracking under extreme heat. Porcelain is more heat-resistant than ceramic, but you can still design the hearth as you like by putting the most heat-resistant tiles directly under the fire and, if it matches your style, add more decorative tiles further from the center of the fire.

Granite is heavier than quartz, since it has a higher density. Quartz is made up of engineered stone, which is why it tends to weigh less than granite. Most granite countertops are ¾-inch thick and weigh about 13 pounds per square foot.

To ensure an even and unbending surface to lay tiles on, you’ll typically need to put a subfloor under a tile floor. Fiber cement backboards are the most common choice, but using plywood is also possible. Don’t neglect this step, or you could risk water damage and grout or tiles prematurely cracking or crumbling, especially in an area with high foot traffic.

Just because you can, doesn’t always mean you should. You can apply new tile over existing tile in a bathroom, but the new tile may not look great if you lay it over worn, cracked, or uneven tiles. The adhesive may not be able to attach the new tile to the old tile properly, and this will add more weight to the drywall.

It takes more time and effort, but removing existing tiles before retiling a bathroom is worth it.
