"I found 3 Brothers Marble & Granite Fabricators on Google while searching for a company to help with my project, and it ended up being the best decision I could have made. From the beginning, their customer service was excellent. They were very professional, responsive, and took the time to answer all my questions. The team made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The quality of their work is truly impressive. Everything was done with great attention to detail, and the final result was perfect and impeccable. You can tell they take pride in their craftsmanship. Whenever I had a question or needed something, they were always there to help and guide me. It’s not easy to find companies that combine great service with such high-quality work. "When doing a full home renovation, the countertops were by far the hardest part of the entire process. We drove to dozens of granite yards and talked with a few fabricators. We felt lost trying to figure out what we wanted at a reasonable price. This all changed when we accidentally drove to Granite Innovations, thinking it was a granite yard. At first Jonathan didnt even know if he would get the business, but he helped us and wanted to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, regardless if we used him. He told us granite yards we could go to, was very responsive with every question we had and guided us in materials and styles. Absolutely amazing experience. His price was very reasonable and Granite Innovations craftsmanship was second to none. I am so happy we stumbled upon this gem of a contractor. I would 10/10 recommend them."

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

The angle at which you cut countertops depends on the material, your intended outcome, and the location of the cut. For example, rather than cutting a straight 90-degree angle for internal corners, cut edges at a 45-degree angle to give a clean, professional look. For outside edges, most homeowners want squared-off sides, so 90-degree angles can make the most sense there. Because you want to get angles exactly right to minimize seams and eliminate the need for patching, be sure to measure several times before cutting and use the right equipment to get sharp, accurate angles.

The resin should be periodically sealed to help prevent it from wearing down or becoming porous. Very sharp or very hot objects can damage the resin surface, and there’s no way to fully repair it if that happens, so we recommend treating the counters well.

Rounded countertop edges, like bullnose or eased edges, are the least likely to chip. Their smooth, curved design helps distribute impact more evenly, unlike sharp corners, which often take the brunt of a hit. Also, unlike pointed edges, rounded edges won't snag on material like dishcloths or clothing.

No, you should not put a hot pan or pot directly on a quartz countertop. While quartz is generally heat-resistant, the resin binders used in its manufacturing are sensitive to extreme heat. Placing a hot pan on the surface can damage the resin, leading to discoloration or other cosmetic issues. If the heat exceeds 150 degrees Fahrenheit, it can cause permanent damage, such as burns or even cracking. To protect your countertop, always use trivets or hot pads.

You can make laminate counters look like marble by following the steps above. However, the condition of the laminate may limit the final results. For example, if the laminate is splitting at the corners or has sharp edges, the epoxy may not work or mimic natural marble as well.
