"Roy is really a prof. He installed two overhead fans and a hanging lamp. The fans had a complicated control system but he was able to get them to work flawlessly. Bonus: he is really a nice person and he cleaned up too! I would recommend his work to anyone."

"I had the company come and install a bathroom fan and a light switch dimmer. After the installation I had some concerns. The owner, Cory, came out and addressed all of the issues and even added a second switch, all at no charge. Awesome service, great attitude and quality work--thanks!"

"Chris at ARS Electric was both knowledgeable and friendly. He and his coworker were able to come for my small bathroom exhaust fan installation job the day after I inquired on Home Advisor. "I cannot recommend RYB Electric LLC and Sebastian highly enough! We hired them for several electrical upgrades, including: 1. A full electrical panel upgrade 2, Installation of a Level 2 EV charger, and 3. Installation of ground rods for extra protection Beyond his technical expertise, Sebastian is a pleasure to work with. He is incredibly easy to talk to, has a great personality, and took the time to answer all my questions without making things feel overly complicated. It’s rare to find someone who is both a master of their craft and so personable. The workmanship is top-tier—everything is neatly installed, labeled, and functioning perfectly. If you are looking for a reliable, skilled, and fairly priced electrician who truly cares about the quality of his work, look no further than Sebastian. We couldn't be happier!"

"Don promptly called me after my initial contact with Angie's List.  We set up a time for him to see the job and he arrived right on time.  We set up an installation date convenient for my schedule.  Don was professional, an extremely hard-worker, thought the job through before he started and completed each task in a neat and timely manner.
Upon his return, Don was able to bury the cable wire in my kitchen behind the molding.  All the molding was perfectly replaced and caulked and it looks wonderful.
The thermostat wire needed to be run up and over one door frame and around the floor over two thresholds and down a long living room wall.  Everything was finished to perfection.
The bathroom ceiling exhaust fan was quite an undertaking, but Don figured out a way to get the new fan installed in spite of the fact that there is no attic space in my condo unit.  He patched all areas that he had to open up to enable installation of the fan and, though I've had the fan almost a year, it was worth the wait.  It is "silent" and I absolutely love it.  I wish I had found Don sooner.
I will definitely call Don again for future projects and my daughter intends to get an estimate from him for painting.  I would confidently recommend Don to any homeowner who needs services for those "hard to do" projects.  Thanks, Don, for a job well-done.

Bathroom Fan Installation FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, you can run an attic fan with the AC on. In fact, you don’t have a choice with a passive attic fan. Plus, when an attic fan draws out hot air from the attic, it helps regulate the temperature of your whole home, so your AC doesn't have to work as hard.

Blower fans are better for preventing mold growth than dehumidifiers because they target the damaged areas and increase the rate of evaporation, which dries out the building materials. Ideally, you should run blower fans and a dehumidifier, as this will allow the fans to move dry air over your damaged building materials, drying out the space even more quickly.

As a general rule of thumb, clean your fans whenever you tidy up the home. Fans benefit greatly from a light weekly cleaning and a deep cleaning at the start of each season. If it’s been a while since you touched up the fans with oscillating blades, start with the deep cleaning before moving on to the lighter touch-ups. If you’re unsure when to clean fans and other parts of the home, learn how often you should clean your home.

Solar attic fans work in winter, but they serve a different purpose than they do in summer. During the colder months of the year, these fans improve air circulation within your attic, which helps remove condensation and moisture to prevent mold growth and protect your insulation and the structure of your home.

Attic and whole-house fans improve a home's energy efficiency and comfort. They ventilate hot air from the attic, which reduces peak cooling loads, lowers reliance on air conditioning, and decreases indoor temperatures. This improved air circulation and expedited heat exit helps lower cooling costs, balance moisture levels, and enhance overall natural airflow, contributing to the efficient operation of other home equipment.
