"We hired Freddie to install a patio, replace an old concrete pathway and redo some concrete steps. Freddie and his crew are great. They showed up on the agreed upon date worked non stop and finished on time. They did the job as agreed upon and we worked through some last minute changes as the job was in process all without issue. Our new patio, path and steps looks great. Freddie and team were a pleasure to work with and always responsive to any questions and concerns along the way. Based on our experience I can recommend Freddie and his team."

"Tony was very professional. We had our estimate in 10 minutes. He started work 2 days later. He removed all of the old patio blocks, escavated the area and poured the concrete. Everything went as planned and we are extremely happy with the job. Highly recommend."

"The recommendation of the bricks from Eric is good. The team of father and son from the company did a great job. They built a retaining wall and power washed driveway and applied polymeric sands on it. Both are great. The wall is beautiful. In addition, they applied gravels with a sheet inside the wall to provide the water drainage. The worker also provided suggestion on the sprinkler system that was in the wall, which was a smart recommendation. I will recommend them."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

The best way to resurface a concrete porch is to clean and prep the surface, pour a layer of concrete on top, allow it to cure, then seal it. A concrete overlay provides a durable layer and enhances your porch's look. You can even choose a stamped overlay to make it look like stone or brick. To ensure structural integrity, repair concrete cracks before applying the new concrete. If the existing concrete is in significant disrepair, consider removing and replacing the concrete instead of an overlay.

Efflorescence can damage a concrete slab for two to three years. After that, it resolves on its own once the surrounding salts are gone.

If your cement garage floor is sinking and cracking, your first step should be to call a local structural engineer to assess the problem. They can determine if it’s a minor amount of sinking related to normal settlement or if the issue is structural in nature. If you do have structural damage, the engineer or a foundation repair company that you hire will come up with a plan to fix the issue, which often consists of mudjacking for less severe issues or underpinning for more extensive problems.

You can seal a concrete slab by cleaning the surface, filling in any cracks, etching the surface, applying a sealer, and letting it dry. Concrete slabs don't typically need sealing, but you can use a topical concrete sealer if you notice signs of water damage. If you haven't already fixed the cause of the leak, then you'll want to repair the plumbing before you seal a concrete slab.

Stamped concrete overlays last about 25 years when properly installed and cared for. Installing an overlay on top of structurally sound concrete helps ensure it reaches its full lifespan. A local stamped concrete pro should finish and seal the concrete upon installation, and you should reseal the overlay every three to five years. Stamped concrete overlays are durable, long-lasting, and a beautiful way to refresh a space.
