"I could not be happier with Greg Burz Stucco & Stone LLC. Greg brings a lot of passion, positivity and an eye for detail on the projects he works on. Further, I completely appreciated Greg’s solution-driven approach, without compromising quality with regards to the stucco project on my home. Perhaps, most importantly, he is a pleasure to work with!"

"Pat came right on time, did an excellent job repairing a pretty messed up plaster ceiling! It looks like a new room! He is professional, knows his business and did more than I expected. I highly recommend him for any type if plaster work, not cheap but great value for the money."

"I hired them to replace my complete siding. They were very efficient, excellent work, very professional, and very affordable! They I stoked the new style aluminum siding with a wood vision, and now my house went from boring to beautiful European style. Im hiring them for my next project, which is soffit and gutters. I would definitely recommend them to my family, friends, and anyone else."

"The company replaced old front-house stucco with traditional stucco in Tudor style. They did excellent job. The team of 7 people did it in just 2 days. They follow all the rules for the traditional stucco. II was very skeptical about the brown trim made from cement, but it looks like real wood!! So beautiful job. I highly recommend them."

"Needed to have old patio replaced and extended. Also needed rain gutter on rear of house replaced. Angelo, of Jersey Pro Construction was easy to deal with and responded to my questions and concerns. Called Angelo to resolve some issues upon job completion which he responded to. Price was Comparable to other estimates received. Would hire again and even recommended Jersey Pro to a neighbor."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Most homeowners can remain in their homes during stucco removal, but expect noise, dust, and limited access to certain areas. For extensive projects or if hazardous materials are present, temporary relocation may be recommended for safety and comfort. Before removal begins, seal off the work areas and use air purifiers to minimize the spread of dust.

German schmear is a durable brick masonry coating. It should last at least a decade or two without flaking or fading, even with minimal maintenance. This makes it an economical option compared to the cost of painting your house exterior, which usually needs to be repainted every five to 10 years to keep it looking its best—thus costing more over the same time period.

The average cost to repair stucco is about $1,600, with projects ranging from $250 for minor fixes to $6,700 for extensive work. The price is often calculated per square foot, typically costing between $60 and $120. Some professionals may charge an hourly rate of $40 to $50. The final cost depends on the extent of the damage, the type of stucco, your home's location, and whether there is underlying damage that also needs to be addressed.

Costs for specific repairs vary:

  • Cracks: $8–$20 per square foot

  • Holes: $250–$450 per hole

  • Water damage: $30–$50 per square foot

  • Chimney repair: $60–$120 per square foot

  • Recoating: $4–$5 per square foot

While you may be able to patch small cracks yourself, it is recommended to call a professional for major repairs to ensure the job is done correctly.

You should aim to let stucco dry for at least 48 hours before it rains. While misting new stucco and keeping it moderately moist is important for strength and longevity, uncontrolled exposure to rain can lead to weak stucco that doesn’t bond properly. Rain can also affect the stucco finish and the color unevenly, leaving you with less appealing siding.

Cracks, discoloration, and moisture intrusion often indicate necessary repairs.
